Yesterday, I was on my netbook finishing up here at the library. This punk was on computer 133. He made a nasty, rude comment to a female who walked behind him to sit down. She and her sister get up to leave. They refuse to make a statement against the guy. The same guy then proceeds to threaten me and my friend. He said "First chance I get, I am going to beat you and your friends a**!" My now ex friend made a couple comments including "Your on camera." The punk said he does not care and continues. He then got up and left going down the escalator and running out of the library before security could catch him. I would have had a man at the bottom of the escalator waiting to stop this guy and one at the elevator to arrest this guy. He is going to really hurt someone and he does not care who they are or how old! This guy needs to be told to leave that he is never allowed to come back because he will seriously hurt anyone he can, male or female.

That's really scary. Does the library not have enough security guards? If not, you should suggest them to have one so that those types of people can be arrested or perhaps not allowed to enter there. Those kinds of people are really scary and dangerous.

There are security guards but the have to walk around. They do need more so they can stay in one place to monitor everyone who uses the computers here. That is not and never will be the case here.

That is rude for such poor guy. It should be other place to sit rather than only one sit available at that time. However, the guy must try find some trouble on them. Maybe it's because gender or other vicious purpose. This guy should not be such rude and intimidating to those helpless people. The library should record this guy's name and forbid him to come to the library again.

I can sort of see why the woman didn't say anything to the guy who was being rude. If she's a single female on her own, she was probably worrying about her safety. A guy whose as arrogant as that, is not someone you want to make angry. He's clearly unstable and could turn against someone easily. You don't know how dangerous he is. Unfortunately, when you go to authorities, they don't always keep it anonymous like they should...So I understand why she was too nervous to confront anyone about the man. However, maybe in a few days your friend and you could go to the library and tell the librarian what he's been doing. I'm sure they've gotten several complaints, and there is no reason why a man with such crude behavior should be allowed to invade people's space like that. I'm not saying he should get away with it, but I do understand why a single female by herself would be too afraid to report it.
