Give Naruto a wind jutsu

When Naruto learned he had an affinity to the wind element and how to channel into it, this created a very good opportunity to give him a wind element jutsu. One with zero connection to Rasengan, and Shadow Clones. His tutor could of been Asuma. I see this training not as a complete waste of time, but one being largely wasted because the only use it had was creating a single new Rasengan variation. What do you think?

I think the author really wanted to give Naruto a wind affinity to help Sasuke at the end of the story. I'm excited and sad at the same time to know how Naruto will end..

The wind affinity can help Naruto deal with Sasuke's lightning element, but it puts him at a disadvantage to Sasuke's fire element. Another thing is that Naruto is limited to one jutsu with limits which Sasuke can easily use Chidori or any of its variations he knows. Thanks for responding.

I still think it's a good jutsu for Naruto. Remember how the mangaka make Naruto become a ninja with almost no talent for using jutsu's hand seal (almost similiar to Rock Lee). With Kakashi being one of his tutor know about Naruto's weakness so he decide to teach Naruto just to combine his rasengan with naruto's wind affinity since the jutsu doesn't need naruto to use hand seal at all.
