When I first joined Mylot I anticipated that I will surely have fun in this site. I actually am. I like the discussions, I like doing the tasks, I like earning money, I like meeting and chatting with people here.
Maybe I'm just oversensitive but I feel that there are just some people who sound really rude when they leave comments. I cannot guarantee that they are rude because I only read the text and not hear their tone. I would like to think that they don't mean to sound too bossy or know-it-all.
In as much as possible I don't want to pay attention to this feeling but really, I am IRRITATED.
I Hope this will pass.

I think that tends to happen to people when they type things. Some people just have a hard time expressing themselves through text as you said and it may sound blunt sometimes. But of course, there are careful people who can actually express their care through text as well. Maybe the rude sounding ones are just no expressive through text. Good luck! And it will pass.

Yes I agree and reading your commentaries, I feel that the disappointment and irritation I felt awhile ago has already passed. I'm thankful for the people who make me happy here in Mylot! :)

I easily get irritated too specially to people commenting negatively to my posts/discussions or people who just leave a pointless comment without even understanding what I mean. Well, that's life we just need to get used to them. I see you're just new here so better stay away from the bad guys. Better yet cool down and control your emotion.

Hello Jacruz25 and swirlz! thank you for your comments.
Jacruz25- I remember answering to your discussion about love. I believe my answer was a bit out of the topic. That must have irritated you.. I'm sorry, I always see love in a general way. Anyway, thank you for your advice about my discussion. Will keep it mind ;)

Is it me? Because I tend to sound mean sometimes. But probably not, since I've been away for a few days.
Well you have the choice to ignore it. Or you can fight back. No, I don't mean lash out. I mean a good debate. If you think the person is being a know-it-all, then try to prove him wrong. It would be a good discussion.

will help anyone but first I think they should read the rules and \
guidelines as mylot gives them the link when they first join, I do
never want anyone to think I am rude.hugs from hatley.

hi girl thinking I am still shaking as I had to reset mymodem and router after we had lights out for an hour here in Gold Crest,i had pulled the thinest wire on the modem, waited a minute then plugged it back in, then did the same on the router only I was trying to put the thinest wire in the wrong place and when I finally found the hole and got it in I was worried it did not take but here I am back on the net still trembling as I am no computer rep air person. Mp best not to as I think in the dos and donts it says not to use user names. but I am sorry this person had to be rude, thats not accepable in a good site like mylot. we all sort of look out for each other. lol.if they are really rude you can report them as rudeness is frowned on here, hugs back.

Oh hatley thank you for telling me this. It is so sweet of you. Though, I'm not telling who is the person I meant on my post. The feeling is gone now so I'm putting it to rest. I'm glad that people in Mylot know how to comfort one another. Hugs to you too =)

You have the freedom to report and move on if you feel someone has hurt you. It is better that way than to enter into an unpleasant dialogue. We come here for relaxation and if you feel someone is spoiling it for you just ignore those users.

That's the main point, I want to relax by browsing discussions and joining them. Hehe, I guess I just really have to be indifferent towards the comments. Anyway, we all have different personalities.
I am looking forward to keep my account in mylot active for a very long time. I'm not going to quit just because of little annoyances. =)
Thank you allknowing :)

I joined myLot over four years ago, and I am certainly very glad that I did. This is a unique site to meet and make friends with wonderful people from countries and cultures around the world. An excellent community where members work together and help one another.

Yes, that is what I am currently experiencing. I know this feeling will pass. Maybe I'm just sensitive as of the moment :)

it is understandable to feel that way. actually, it is not normal not to feel anything about rude remarks or comments. but as most people say, it will pass.
it cannot be helped, mylot is a site where diverse people join. the way people react or give their few cents, is dependent on many factors. we cannot expect them to be doing the same things as respectful as we do them.
how do i cope(i am still a newbie here)? i try to maintain my cool but does not let any 'rudeness' pass. i simply answer back as honestly as i could but not in the way the person did it. you know, 'kill them with kindness', as the saying goes.
welcome to mylot and enjoy!

Since Mylot has many members across the world, they have different cultures and traditions as well as beliefs. In this regard, others will find your opinion so different, so their tendency is to rebut it or to insist on what they believe.
In case, they seem rude to you, it is best to clarify what they are trying to mean . Or so as not to be bothered or elongate the issue, just ignore them.

Yes that's the best thing to do. For once I'm not even sure if the person meant to sound rude. As mentioned on my post, I only based it on text not on the actual tone as I cannot hear the person. Thanks Simplyd :)

Hey! I've been here for about a few months now I think, I can't seem to remember and I really love it here. I have school work going on right now as it's my final senior year in high school and it's restricting me to spend more time here! But I try to squeeze a little bit of time to hang around here. The people here are great and I have made several friends. It's great when I find new discussions that I can respond and relate to! Mylot makes my world a little brighter and I can learn so much here. But do remember that we are communicating through text so some comment may come off as rude. That's why we have emoticons! They really help the reader what the writer is feeling and whether the comment simply sarcasm. It's hard to be sarcastic through text. Don't worry about the rude people, not everyone is happy.

Hi Triple0! I wish I have emoticons too! I love putting emoticons on my texts. I agree that feelings will be more specified when there is an emoticon. ^_^
Good luck to your school work!

I also receive some response that sound "rude" for me but I just Ignore it because it's out of our control. But those who you said sounds like they know all things maybe they are just trying to help you and just explaining things clearly for you. Just have fun mylotting:)
