Writer's block

I can't seem to put my thoughts in coherence. I have need to complete 5 articles about the world's end (500 words each) in a matter of 24 hours. Usually, writing comes as a breeze but right now, my mind is blank. Even if I search for ideas online, I still cannot generate my own words.
When you experience writer's block, what is the fastest way that you do to recover?

Sometimes I have similar problems too. I can't post discussions here or even respond to other members' discussions. Sometimes I can't write exactly what I am thinking. It is painful. Then I just leave and do other things, like thinking randomly, walking out, drinking some water etc. It will be better.

Yup! That is what I am doing right now. I am taking a break and just browsing through Mylot. I hope I get recharged any minute soon :)

Yeap! That's the spirit. Whenever I experience the same thing, I do other things. Soon, an idea comes in mind. Then, I know it's time to write!
Good luck, gt!

Haha, the problem now is I don't want to get back to writing yet. I'm currently addicted to Mylotting. I guess this is my distraction =D

I do have the same problem at times. It also very much depends on the topics I choose. For some topics, thoughts and ideas just flow easily, but for some topics, just nothing comes. On the other hand, when the mind is stressed with so many things, it is hard to come up with new ideas too.

Hi greenline! Same here, I believe that when I am really interested on the topic, the ideas just flow naturally from my mind whereas when it is too technical, I somehow get lost with words _

How is it going with that? Still stuck or have you completed it? If not...
Care to share some of your articles? In most cases a block has a reason and therefore a solution but in this case it may just be the topic? Not an easy one for sure!
If I had to write articles on the world's end, personally I would start with...
1)Nose - ter - dumb - as was an idiot mainly because someone took this guy seriously. Come on people, do you not see he was only writing from material he had read?
2)The maya were people who loved making animations. The idea of a calender creation was the work of some spiritually demented minds. Sorry, I can not complete this because I am a virgin and they are taking me to the chopping block.
3)Make money now with 2012 end of world predictions before it is too late!
4)The real source about information concerning the end of the world as we know it comes from the bible. It has to do with an end but more importantly a new wonderful beginning.

Well, for me, usually when I experience writer's block, I will read other people's articles. It really helps.

Hi Galvestini! I do that when I don't know what to blog about. I read other people's blog and then I my ideas grow from there...
