while i was mylotting this afternoon and my dog was at my side lying and licking his bone, all of a sudden he left his bone and walked away. then i saw him trying to get something from his mouth and appeared like suffocating. i did not know what to do. i was afraid that he might suffocate and not get air. but thankfully a minute after he was ok. but then he is still weak now. what to do my dear lotters?

If my dog had turned ill like that i would have either taken the dog to the vet, or got a vet to my house. If i had no money for the bill then i would still have taken the dog and worried about the bill after the dog had been made better. Also if one of my dogs seemed weak or ill i would take it to the vets incase the bone had done damage or got stuck inside some where that we could not see from the out side.I hope your dog is ok now.

hello there jugs. i wish i have thought of taking my dog to the vet whatever happened and not thinking of the money first. i just tapped the back and the throat of my dog and i filled his water cup. after about 5 minutes he was already ok

Do not give your dog raw hide chews or bones. Give your dog something digestible that the cannot choke on. I would take him to the vet and make sure that he doesn't have an obstruction or did not do any damage to his throat.

Bring your dog to your vet.
If you think your dog is not ok,try to bring it to your vet now before it get worse.
I am not a vet and not a dog expert as well.
I have dogs at home and a kitten and never had same experience like what you are facing right now.
So,best thing is have your dog checked...now.

hi jaiho! i have not brought my dog to the vet because i do not have the money to pay for the vet. my dog turned out to be alright after acting suffocated. i think he took care of the problem himself. thank you!

my, what a pity. I could not suggest on what to do but I guess you need to bring him to the vet. Our puppy was sick last week, he did not eat meals for almost a week. We consulted a vet and he was prescribed anti-biotic. Now our puppy is back to his normal self a hyper active fellow.
