Back in our final year in college, our batch had the privilege of a north India study tour. Darjeeling in north east India was part of the itinerary. We were lucky too to have made it. The guided sight seeing included an early morning view of sunrise over the Himalayan mountains. The guide was prompt & we were at the spot called Tiger Hills well ahead of time. So we could watch the whole magical moment from the very start. It was excitement par extraordinary watching the sunlight from the East gradually covering the pure white snow mountains and vast stretch of the Himalayas turning like a massive sheet of gold!! It was absolutely exhilarating and the experience is still fresh in my memory. The image attached is a photo taken during the moment [sorry about the picture quality: did not have the digital cameras of today then!].
Do you recount any similar exciting experience from your past travel?

I've always wanted to travel but that farthest I've gotten so far is a couple states away. But I did see Seattle and its surroundings from the Space Needle. There is a great view there if you ignore the city below you. You can see Canada a little even. The mountains all around the city are beautiful. And Sunset on Lake Union is breathtaking. Especially right before fireworks light up the whole sky all over again.

I'm sorry. I have to add that the photo I referred to in my post is not uploaded. I can't do it now either. Bad of me. :(

That is very exciting, indeed. One "Wow" sight I always remember is Mount Fuji (Fujiyama) in Japan. When I was once visiting Tokyo, a friend of mine took me to Mount Fuji. The view from a distance when I first saw Mount Fuji was indeed an unforgetable "Wow" sight ! I can still see it in my mind's eye even right now as I type this response. Amazingly beaytiful site !

Hi greenline. I should have responded to your comment earlier but have been stuck in too many activities. My mistake! :(
Mount Fuji must be really a fascinating sight!
Thanks

I am pleased that you like visiting the north of India. I think that Darjeeling sounds very pretty and the sunrise must have looked stunning. The Tiger Hill must have been really beautiful indeed.
When I was at university I made sure I did a lovely trip in the summer holidays. In 1997 I went on a safari to Kenya and the the beach there too. I loved seeing all the wildlife and spending time on the tropical beaches. In 1998 I went to Israel and Jordan. I found it very interesting in the Holy Land and at Petra is was stunning to see all the sand like building in 1999 I went to Germany and Austria. I thought the mountains looked ever so picturesque. In 2000 I visited my cousin in lovely Western Australia.

I went to Boracay in the Philippines. This is the most famous beach in the Philippines. The place is so cool! Believe it! Together with my family, we went Island Hopping, scuba diving, and many more. It was so much fun! I will never forget that journey.
