Would you support a mylot friend if he/she starts a small online business? For example an online cellphone reload business are you willing to be a customer, or if he/she opens an online retail store would you try her/his product? would you buy from her? Are we that supportive enough even if we don't know our mylot friend that much

I think if anyone would have started a business, be it they are friends in Mylot or not, I will surely remember them when I needed to make a purchase. I usually recommends friends that I know for people who wanted some products or services in order to show some support towards my friend. I mean, hook or crook the money will need to be spend and why not spend on someone we know.
p/s: I hate people who ask discount from friends.. I mean, you don't ask any stranger for discount if you don't know him right.. why do we take our friends for granted?

Uuumm, I do ask friends for a discount if I find the things are too expensive as compared to other retail shops, and since I am going to support my friend, I think he/she too should at least give me a little discount as I need to spend my money wisely as well.

Hi cwong! I agree that we should not take advantage of our friends like asking unreasonable discounts from our friend's product because business is a business a person build a business to earn and asking too much discount would hurt his/her earning.

I would buy a new cellphone from him or her online shop. I don't buy too often, but once in my life time why not ? I prefer helping he or his business promoting to just buying, so we do not only help his business a time but many times. I think it's more generous rather than just buying the product from her shop. Okay

Yeah I get your point promoting your friend's "business" helps more than just buying/using his service once because when you are promoting it to a lot of your friends it means you've already given him/her a lot of potential customers for his/her business.

Yeah that's the problem with it because most of us are quite doubtful about online transactions because we don't wanna be cheated.Any idea how can I convince mylotters if ever I i'll try that?

Yes if it were a friend I would help somehow and if I did not buy the products I could probably learn about the services and introduce them to others that I know as well. If I am not in the market for a new phone as I have been with my company now for 14 years, I would certainly try and see what he has to offer and maybe if the services were compatible to my needs I would at renewal consider it.

That is very nice of you if ever you introduce your fellow mylotter's service/product to others that would really help in spreading the news about that certain "business"

These are the things I consider when I promote others' business:
1. Is the business legitimate? We all want to earn but we need to make sure the business is not a scam.
2. Does the product/service speak for itself? We all don't want to spend our money on something that does not deliver what it promises. Only effective products can stay long in the market.
3. If I promote the product/service to others, can I earn something from doing it? We may be satisfied with what the product delivered but us telling others to buy the product without any compensation is another story.

That's because when I do business, I will really mean it as business. Nothing personal. Taking things lightly simply because your business partner is your friend will get your business to nowhere.
But of course, life between you and your friend should be different when you're off the office. When you have disagreements in the office, leave it there. Laugh out with your friend when you play golf. Have fun. Never let the heartaches you have in the business between you and your friend stand in the way of nurturing your personal relationships with each other.
I'm glad to hear you were able to consider the good points I want to stress out.

I will, but their products or services should really satisfy me.I will make the product of our fellow mylotters the first option, but if their products aren't good enough I will look for other vendors.:)

Yeah of course the product/service should be good enough compared to others so that fellow mylotters would patronize it. But even if we want to be supportive with our friends here if the product/service doesn't meet our standard then it is not practical to use/avail the product/service.

I would be glad to support if I am familiar with the line of business and have the skill or knowledge about it. It would depend on the type of business.

Hi i'm glad that you would. It comes to mind yesterday and I think it is a good idea especially if more lotters support it.

If I am in need of the things that my friend is selling online, sure I will support him/her by buying his/her products and maybe recommend it to my other friends as well.

If i know about business, i can help them out..But if just something not know like asking what to do in my lot, or others, i can help them out..
But it depends on the person if he/she tries to do business, i can 't trust in full because not really know in person or trust.Or i just give advicies..

I think it depends. If the person has grown really close to me and I've known that person well already, then maybe yes. I can't just believe everyone because sometimes, there are people who will trick you.

If you will start an online cellphone reload like loadxtreme then I would definitely support you since I do not need cash to buy load but instead pay you through paypal. That would be cool! Since I have more paypal credits than cash.:)
I would support you man provided that you would send the load first before I pay you. :)

That's good to hear that you would support it. But there will be a problem about 'trust' because we are talking about money here but I think the customer should pay first because the business "owner" needs a good reputation so that he/she can get more customers so I think he/she would not take the money and not load the customer because it would ruin his business reputation but if it's the other way around that the "owner load the customer first I think some would take advantage of that especially those that are not here for a long time and they can just leave mylot after receiving the load.

I would love to support a friend's business. The reason is obvious you know her or him well and you know well that the business is legitimate.
Like myself, I have been blogging and promoting Philippines hotels and budget accommodation. Some of my friends when they travel to the Philippines, they will definitely visit my site and get reservation then.
Supporting each other is a good way of building a good nature of business and relationship.
