This may seem like a strange discussion/question, but does anyone have any pearls of wisdom or general advice or words to live by? Anything from what to do to get mustard stains out of a tablecloth to the meaning of life is welcome.

"People will treat you according to what you give out." I used to be frustrated thinking people are being mean, ignorant, rude, or disrespectful to me at times, before I realized it was what I've given out that gave some people to treat me in a bad way.
I am naturally a very thoughtful and kind person, and some people see that as an opportunity to take advantage of me. I hardly say 'no' to any request, and ended up running the race of pleasing others unnecessarily and discomforting myself in the process.
Up until now, I am still working very hard on what I laid bare for people to see. It makes me thinking 'being nice equals being weak'. That's such an unfair statement, but is true to some degree. I don't want to be mean or rude or bad to others, but I also no longer want to be taken advantage of, so I am working on balancing this up each day. There's simple bad and good people in this world and we just have to know how to deal with it when it comes.
