As I was replying to one of the discussions here on mylot I find it hard to believe that until now there's no app that will allow me to dictate my responses a la voice recognition,an application that instead of typing my response I just speak then the app will process it to written form.I could be wrong, for all I know probably there's one out there already....I'll check Android market later.

I think that this is already possible; there are many Android 'notepad' apps which include voice recognition though I have not so far found one which is really satisfactory or accurate. This may be because the Smartphone microphone is not good at excluding extraneous noise but it is also because the voice recognition software is nowhere near as good as the market leader, DragonNaturallySpeaking, and none that I have seen can be trained to recognise one's own voice patterns and accent. The main problem, however, is likely to be the technical one that MyLot does not permit copying and pasting until you have a User Rating of 500. Until then you have a very limited ability - enough to copy and paste a short URL - but any app which will transcribe voice into text will need to buffer the text and to then paste it into the MyLot text entry box. I suspect that, because of the way MyLot works, this will make the app unusable by anyone with a UR of less than 500.

Two apps which I have used and which both have VR input are 'Write and Go' and 'SlideNotes'. 'Write and Go' also has 'Send' and 'Update to Facebook' buttons. I don't see any way of changing the options on the 'Send' button from the three that I have, however.

If there is one that works with most android phones like this, it would be quite nice. I know I use my HTC all the time for things. I wish there was a myLot app period for the phones. Maybe someday there will be, as it would be a plus. But to be able to speak and type like that would be a plus for sure.
