Hi, I have conceived. 4 months completed. Before pregnancy, I maintained my weight b/w 54-56 kgs. I will take non-veg often but everyday I will take honey mixed with water boiled with cinnamon powder. This is the secret of my weight maintenance. But during this pregnancy period , I am afraid to take any such drink which may affect my baby. Now I am weighing 72 Kgs. :) Any suggestion to reduce weight during pregnancy? Experienced and medical experts, pls help!!!

Do not try anything to reduce your weight during pregnancy. All the pregnancy woman will gain minimum of 12 kgs through out the gestational period. Just stop eating all the junk food ans have fruits daily which will help you in nutrition for your baby and also helps you keep correct weight.

You have gained too much weight during pregnancy. I also did when I was pregnant with my fisrt baby because I felt hungry all day. My doctor gave me a strict diet then that I followed and actually lost a lot of weight before having the baby. That mean less risk for the baby and also less risk for me. The diet was Breakfast: 1 cup skimmed milk with tea or coffee (as I wished) no sugar. 1 slice of wholewheat bread, no butter, only frsh light cheese. 1 fruit. Lunch: a piece of boiled meat or steamed fish no spices. ยท servings of cooked or steamed veggies (no beets or potaotos). 1 fruit. Tea time: Same as breakfast. Dinner: Same as lunch. You could add another serving of veggies. The only dressing for veggies was one make with little oil, vinegar or lemon and moderate amount of salt. If you want it juicer, you add some water and shake. I did not take vitamin supplements except the ones the doctor gave me. No overthe counter pills at all.

wow..congratulations on your pregnancy..may you have a healthy baby.. don't eat foods which are high in sugar..avoid carbonated drinks..eat only healthy foods--fruits and vegetables..watch what you eat..and do some walking exercise..it won't harm your pregnancy as long as you know when to stop and unless your doctor prescribes you to be on complete bed rest..
