Is Technorati Useful?

I've been doing some research on blogging and stats lately, I've seen things say to make sure to get added to Technorati. Well I've already done that a while back but I've been trying to figure out if its actually doing me any good. When I was trying to figure that out, I googled technorati and came across people who said its becoming less and less useful.
So what do you guys think about technorati? Is it a good thing to submit your blog too? Or do you use something else instead?

Hi friend, I don't think they are not even a bit. I never saw one visit from them and I'm not even sure BlogCatalog is even helping anymore, although they are the biggest directory.
Sites that users can submit links that are easily open there for visitor's eyes and show the best links might be attracting more visitors, like 2leep.com or leenks.com

As search engine technology improves and the Internet becomes more and more mainstream, directories like that are less useful. It's like phone books: how many times do you use one these days? Most people just do a search and see who comes up, with reviews and recommendations from all over the web.
I'd submit but I wouldn't count on it for anything major. It's always worth being listed, after all!
