Halloween is coming up soon and I have yet to decide on a costume. I don't want to go buy a costume since I would rather use what I have and imitate a person or character. I was wondering if anyone had a good idea for what I should dress up as without having to go out and buy something that costs like $50.

my son will be going out as buzz light year, well of course thats how kids go out on holloween. but one of my niece will be going out as a pirate and my wife is the one who sew her clothes. bought an eye patch on ebay and she is all prepared for the holloween. well i guess buying a scary mask will be not that costly but i guess it is very familiar already. it is fun to watch holloween parade. specially those people who get out of their way to wear a costume. happy holloween and welcome to the wonderful world of mylot.

Maybe a garden gnome? That would require you to have an outfit and some fabric that you could make the hat out of.
Or a Star wars Jedi?
I guess it depends what clothes you have?

a standard dress, make it more dirty to the people's eyes....
then red paint to (serves as blood) to sprinkle or any excess blood of chicken when cooking for a real effect....
and lastly, your facial expression is the best to act...
a very cheap idea but highly effective.....
