First time buying stuff online

I have bought many things online especially books and cds. I have never had a problem with the payment and the shipping. The only problem I had happened some years ago when I wanted to buy a book online. I found the book in an online bookshop, but there was a problem with the site, it didn't work properly, and I didn't think that I had been able to submit my information, so I left and bought the book from another site. A few weeks later I received two copies of the same book! So the first site worked anyway. One thing that you should keep in mind in addition to shipping is taxes (if you want to buy something from another country) In Europe it is cheapest to buy something from other European country, because we are able to avoid taxes that way. Before you buy something it is good idea to check the rules in your country.

I buy online frequently and have done so for years with nary a problem. All retail sites use secure connections and are perfectly safe. Each site uses different shipping rates and some even offer deals on free shipping. I always go for the cheapest.

I have had a good experience with Amazon.com and eBay. I've also bought from an anime website and Walmart.com and I've never had a problem.

I don't use my credit card though but used bank money transfer which is more safe. I use my paypal on the other hand buying stuff for my nephew's online game. This is very convenient and easy. For shipping it usually comes with the offer and many stuff comes with free shipping fee and choose if prompted to, the most popular and known shipping company for your protection.
