I cried with this news. A Dog became blind for health problems and the Dog's friend LEAD her! Can you believe that? It seems their owners gave up on them in this situation, I just couldn't believe it, I don't know how can people do it. I truly love animals, I'm Vegan and I rescue them and my house is full of 'pets' (more like children :D) so it's hard to believe. They are up for adoption! http://obcessedwithanimals.blogspot.com/2011/10/dogs-are-better-than-people.html Such a beautiful story.

I saw this news few days ago and really this is a very touching one. I saw another video of a dog that try to rescue another dog that was hit by a car. This reminds me where is humanity compared to these animals.

Yes, I cried so much...I couldn't believe in it...specially for they being dumped. I'm sure when someone adopt they will have to do together, I mean they are adventerous dogs (not because they wanted) but they went through too much together and must remain close forever :D Hope God is watching over them. Happy MyLotting and thanks sooo much for coming.

I read the story of Madison and her companion Lilly. I was amazed by the photos of the two Great Danes! I hope they go to a great home soon! It always amazes me why people give up on animals like Madison! I think one reason is people don't care anymore. Sometimes I am sure animals are given up because the owner can't afford them anymore. That is just some of the thoughts I have. I love animals but am not able to own any pets were I live. If I did I would adopt a cat or a dog. I hope some day I will be able to!

Dog leading another who is blind shows compassion for a disabled dog.It does appear they are more kind hearted than most of us.Its very nice of you to take care of so many animals. Most animals reciprocate our kindness with genuine affection.

Thank you so much. They really do, I feel like a mother really and I know they try to always be better to me to thank me, it's really cute and it's possible to see and feel how intelligent they are, Cats, Dogs, Cows, Pigs, Chickens, all of them. I dream of having a farm to rescue animals from slaughter house. I'm passionate about them, because they can't speak and all. Of course that there are great humans beings as wel, LOL, but I really suffer to see what people do to animals. Great day, happy MyLotting!

Wow, I have been hearing a few stories about animals saving animals here on Mylot. I got curious and started to youtube it and I saw a dog save anther dog that got hit by a car! I was so amazed. The dog was so smart, it knew when the car was coming and it used it's paws to drag the dog rather than using its teeth. It just shows how animals too have feelings and too bare human qualities. Pretty much, being compared to these supportive animals kinda shows how bad humanity is. How some of us just walk pass a homeless person without a glance. But it's pretty amazing when we see animals saving other animals. How sweet for a dog to lead and help out another blind dog. Even animals are setting better examples than some of us people.

Wow. That was really heart warming! I too love animals especially my dogs. It is true that sometimes dogs do great things that humans would most likely not do like sacrificing yourself to save your friend's life or in dog's case their owner like a dog from Arizona who compromised his life to save his owner from a very poisonous rattlesnake. here is the link for the full story about that wonderful dog http://www.examiner.com/pet-news-in-national/dog-saves-owner-from-rattlesnake-is-bitten-instead

Hi there! Yes, I cried my eyes out, I actually didn't read the article today but yesterday and I was really moved about it. Couldn't believe how warm hearted animals are, it always surprises me. A cheeta actually adopted a baby monkey...there are so many examples, I don't know why they can and so many people can't. :D Great day, happy MyLotting!

For the owner, it may have been more difficult for them to give the dog up, but it would have been harder to take care of it. The problem with a blind dog is that they're even more dependent than they were when they were sighted, same goes for people. People give up on people too, animals are no different. But these people may have had their own valid reasons for "giving" up on this dog as you put it. I remember seeing the photo of this, it's been circulating on Facebook lately and it breaks my heart. But the dog's will to survive is great, and it will do well, especially with his best friend.

Dogs are so special, but these weren't the ones they weren't able to take care, they dump the dogs anywhere on the streets...such a sad story. I've seem some sad but beautiful and inspiring things, some japanese people didn't want to go to shelter to not leave their pets behind, I think that's heroic. I couldn't leave my babies behind :D. Are these in the pictures your babies? So cuuuuuuuute, the Dog is staring at the Cat, awwwwwwwww!!! Great day, happy MyLotting!

Hi katie: That's a beautiful story. I think animals can help us to learn more about some values they do by nature like cooperation, caring for the others of their own family and of course love. Animals, having feelings can teach us valuable lessons like the one you are sharing here. Thanks for starting this discussion. ALVARO

you know animals are not almost but absolute like us, in terms of loving your love ones, hospitality, helping other who in needs of help. they care about others too like us, animals are not better than us, because they say that we people are the perfect animal. Animals have feelings like us so they react what are they seeing like you said leading the blind dog, and like us they have also a brain to think what to do and remember dogs are mans best friend that's why dog are so lovable.

I think that people could learn a lot from animals. They show us how we should be or act rather toward one another. To be helpful, caring, loyal, & loving.....yes we can most definitely learn a lot from animals.
