It is a good news to hear that there are places in the philippines which is slowly becoming known in the world. We should always be proud when we see or hear our country being recognized by foreign people. This only shows that the philippines has many to offer.

I agree that Sagada is a very beautiful place to visit. I love the food there because they use fresh ingredients from their backyard. I just do not agree with the "overlooked" part. Sagada may be off the beaten track and would take at least 10 hours to get there, but it is definitely not overlooked. A lot of tourists go there and I now consider it a tourist trap. Years ago, Sagada had only a few visitors and prices were relatively cheap. Now, its becoming a lot like Boracay where you have to constantly shell out money to the locals. We asked for directions going to Kiltepan Peak and one little boy volunteered to take us there. When we got there, he asked for money for bringing us there. And don't get me started with the prices in the restaurant. You pay about P200 per meal there, even more expensive than in Metro Manila. They know that the tourists are captive markets and they shamelessly take advantage of it.

Oh my! This is a very good news! I've been to Sagada just this year, it was last April, and I can say that Sagada is Heaven here on Earth!
2 days ago I am just reminiscing the days we are there and I told my office mate that I badly miss the place No wonder, people who have been there, can't help themselves but to visit the place again. The travel from Manila to Sagada may take you 14hrs but, I swear, it's all worth it! The caves, the rice terraces, the sights, the foods and the people are all AMAZING! Most especially, their cool weather. We survived 4 nights without mobile phone- Globe has a very weak signal there, most of the people use SMART ... No TV, we're away from the city, it is really refreshing, no stress, no pressure.
You know, when the world is talking about how WONDERFUL our places are, I always feel proud that I live here in the Philippines. I am proud that I am a Filipino
