Hello my Indonesian brothers and sisters, how are you doing today? I hope you are all doing good. Im sure you know today is the Youth Pledge day we celebrated every year. The Youth Pledge day or Hari Sumpah Pemuda was a declaration of the youth of Indonesia to be united and to acknowledge that we have one motherland, one nation and to use Indonesian language as the language of unity. we know that Indonesia consists of so many etnich, cultures, languages but we are united as one nation Indonesia.
But my dear brothers and sisters, I was watching TV and I saw so many people and students forgot what day is today, they dont know today is the Youth Pledge day (Hari Sumpah Pemuda) and they dont remember what is the essence of Sumpah Pemuda.
we are, the sons and daughters of Indonesia, acknowledge one motherland, Indonesia.
we are, the sons and daughters of Indonesia, acknowledge one nationa, the nation of Indonesia
we are, the sons and daughters of Indonesia, respect the language of unity, Indonesia.
what do you think about Sumpah Pemuda? and what do you think about students who dont remember what sumpah pemuda is about? do you still remember the declaration(isi sumpah pemuda)?

Hello friend, no problem with the double posting i will not comment on the second post. I agree with you that the young generation is lack of nationalism, they are being individualist and forgot that we are united under one nation, Indonesia. we see so many tawuran cases between students I think it is because the lack of understanding of being united as one. I wonder if they still teach Sumpah Pemuda at school. when I was at school we must know Pancasila and Sumpah Pemuda, and we must apply it to our daily life.

Hello everyone, my brother told me that today his school didnt held ceremony to celebrate the Youth Pledge day. when I was still at school we held flag ceremony not only on Independence day, every monday, but also on Youth Pledge day, the Heroes day (hari pahlawan). Im a college student and we dont have a flag ceremony every monday. even we dont go to flag ceremony but we need to keep the spirit of unity in our heart and apply it in our daily life.

i do hope by this ceremony, our youth include me can give the best contribution for our country...
in several years ago, when our country is dillema between want to declare the proclamation or still under Japan governent, the Youth is inspiration for this country..
when SOekarno and Hatta is confuse, many youth become "the leader" and "push" soekarno hatta for declaring our freedom..
and it works...
now we must prove that indonesia is proud of us..
the youth can give contribution for this country...
