A pleasant day dear fellow mylotters,
I really admire those people who does not use eyeglasses. As they can read thoroughly the words even it is near or far. And that they need not to wear anything for their eyes that can somehow hinder or disturb their face. I wonder if I can go back to my childhood days that if I only knew that time, I will eat and take a lot of veggies that rich in vitamins to have a good eyesight. But, I cannot go back to that time, so I need to wear my eyeglasses now. Need to have it with me everywhere, anywhere and anytime. As it will be difficult for me to do my chores if I dont wear my eyeglasses.

Hi there Jaiho2009,
My eyeglasses is a part of my system. As I cannot move quickly without this thing. I need to bring it with me everywhere, anywhere at anytime. As it will be a difficult day for me if I dont wear my eyeglasses. And if this thing will happen, I cannot done thoroughly my task.

The very start or causes of poor eyesight are varying from these reasons: Too much exposure to UV rays, most high and low velocity of projectiles, wearing of wrong eye glasses prescription, diabetes, genetic defects, TV and over computer habits.
I hope you could still overcome this illness since if you are loving good and healthy foods you might have nutrients necessary for the protection of your eyes. Try to improve it by eating carrots, make some experimental practice to observe if you can still make to rectify your vision at early stage of that problem.
This is just an advice because I tried to also using eyeglasses when I was below 30's and now I had stopped using it. I had normalized my eyes vision by making a habit to eat carrots more prequently as part of my meal once a day at least.

Through the years, I have grown old, and my eyesight has really been an eyesore. I used ot think I had 20/20 vision. However, there came a time when I noticed that I could not see that far anymore, and my kids were able to read words so clearly grom afar, that is when I realized that my eyes are already suffering. I guess age has really caught up on me now.

There comes a time in your life when you will have to wear glasses, no matter how many veggies you ate growing up. 40 is the average age.
Personally, I prefer wearing glasses. I think I look better in them than without. Maybe it's because I've gotten used to them, but I also feel since I don't wear make-up very often, the glasses magnify my eye lashes thereby reducing the need for mascara. Of course I still wear mascara when I'm going out and wanting to look nice, but I wear very little make-up then (mascara, blush, lip colour) and none on a normal day. I love my glasses.

Well, up to about 10 years ago, I had excellent eyesight, light or dark near or far I could see. As a child I ate all the right foods and vegetables etc. and my mother made sure I did this. Part of the ageing process is that things deteriorate, and as much as I didn't want to be wearing eye glasses, I had to do so. It seems that it is more to do with genetics, but of course a poor diet will make problems comes earlier, but I have found that I couldn't do without glasses forever. _Derek

I had to have corrective lenses since 3rd grade and I hear you, how wonderful it would be to wake up, or go swimming without the burden of not being able to see. (I have had the contacts where one can sleep and swim and they were awful)
But keep in mind, I believe everyone sooner or later will have to get reading glasses as they get older..Sure they would only need them for reading, but if they need to read something, they will understand the hassle you and I go through...

If eyeglasses are not worn then the eye sight will increase and it can take to the eye blindness,It is good to eat the vitamins necessary for the good eyesight at any age ,Now or in the young age.The care can be started at any time in the life.

I used to have poor vision at distance, and in 2004 I had laser surgery .I could say that it was the best day of my life.In 15 minutes my life changed.I had glasses since the age of 12,and now I am free.I still need readers(that is age related and not much to do about it!)Before my surgery I had contact lenses,it is better than glasses, but still have to be careful. I am so happy that I had the opportunity to have this surgery!I wish that it would be provided for free worldwide!

oh dear i was same as you few years back.i was complete dependent of my glasses and lenses.i was not done even for a minute without them.my eye sight was so poor.i had a poor eyesight which was deducted during my early school days but i never used to wear glasses as everyone in the school used to tease me.when i came to 8 th standard,it was the time when i started using glasses as my eyesight was getting worse.along the years i had to carry the burden of my glasses over my beautiful eyes that used to mask the beauty of my eyes.but i had no other choice.
when i went to college i started using lenses.yes they were better then using glasses as i didn't have to carry the load of specs any more,
but now, after getting my eyes operated,i feel like a free bird who has no dependence to fly high.my vision is crystal clear without relying on anything at all.

Hi airasheila!
I admire those people too. At first, wearing eyeglasses is fun but as you get used to the glasses, it becomes boring. Good thing we have contact lenses now! Sadly for me, my eyes are very sensitive for those :(

I know that is pretty boring to need to use glasses, I have to use too, but I only use contact lens when I have to leave home. But, you don't need to suffer with that, I know that are some exercises that you can do everyday and after a few weeks, you already will see a big improve on your vision. My dad used to use glasses, but after he did those exercises, he don't use anything to see well. But, you need to have patience and discipline.

I am now 31 years old and not wearing an eyeglass. I used to wear one when I hit 26 yr. old but I am irritated at it. It slows down my work, I'm so hassle to use it. Now although my eyes is not 20/20 vision I don't want my eyes to rely on eyeglasses, thinking that it will only ruin my vision. lol

You don't have to feel pity for yourself because you are wearing glasses instead be glad that you are able to see. Some eyes conditions are inherited so it is not a matter of lacking vitamin A or not. Infact, some of the successful people like Bill Gates wear glasses.
