Is it an advantage if mylot will accept any language?

I think this is one reason why mylot doesn't have many members even if its a great place and pays you for your activities. If mylot will accept any language many people will sure be active here and create their own group where they can freely communicate to each other using their own language. So what do you think about this?

Hi, myLot is an international website, and it has got only international language. If we need to add different languages, then we must begin things like myLot Hindi, myLot Urdu, myLot Russian or German etc.... But that is so vague and expensive idea, can't be entertained. The idea of adding languages here is not good, I'm sorry...

That is surely going to create a communal divide if that is followed. The world is already having so many divides and why create one here? Do you realize that people will get confined to only language specific discussions and nothing beyond? I am sure that will kill the spirit of MyLot. Btw, why mylot doesn't have many members - havent you looked at the stats on the footer of the page? How many more members do you need? I am for the global world - one world, one language and one currency. That would make my world better - and yours too.

Quite right. Agreed. As far as people dont want no one can help You mention Fb. But that is a different platform altogether. Isnt it? And are you sure they have the right figures and all if those numbers are always online and active? I am not that sure. So cannot say much about them.

I know the current mylot population the thing is that are those hundred thousand members really active here? I think only 10-15% of that number are active and most of them are already inactive/banned. If you think that number is huge then why not compare it to facebook which had around 500million members or myspace that has over 100 million members. And btw, what ever you do there will be no such thing as one world or one language as long as nationalism exist.

I think we'd earn a LOT less because the admin costs would be phenomenal - myLot would need a whole team to cover every possible language, instead of just one person.

You got a point there. Mylot will surely hire many people for each language and pay each of them. At the same time our earnings will surely shrink because of the fact that many active members means many people to pay. Not much an advantage don't you think?

I think English should be the language that mylot will accept, since it is the universal language and a lot of people might not understand it if others were to speka their local language. People would be grouped by language now.

lady I also support your view. English is the common or universal language and that is the reason for success of mylot. More members are not participating every day -- may be due to their considering earnings.

Yeah, I feel sad that some of my friends just participate in mylot for a few months and then give u. I was struggling in mylot for the first few months but then i gradually enjoyed it- i hope they do too.

jacruz No. I recommend mylot continuing with English only. English being a language spoken by people from many countries it is better to have this as medium. If we have other languages , say manadarn, then only chinese people can understand. similarly if it is Tamil only people from Tamil Nadu can understand. ok good day

I still think its best to have one language here. If everyone speaks on their own languages then we won't be able to interact with most of them because they will have to choose to communicate only with people of the same nationalities. Plus, the fact that myLot has to hire someone to screen if foul words are being written by members using a different language ^^

True. What I mean is that there should be a corner example only for chinese, japanese, spanish, french, etc. so that discussions or posts won't mix with different language.

Hi Jacruz! I think so, too as well. If myLot allows people to create an interest where they can speak their own native language, then people will be more active here. Sometimes, it's just really hard to express whatever a person wants to express in a language that is not natural to him or her. There are just those words and phrases in our own language that do not have the right equivalent in English. And a lot of people are still comfortable in writing in their own language.

I think mylot accepting any language is a fantastic idea. This will make mylot a much more accessible and diverse community. I look forward to seeing this important change in the near future.

Not good for mylot simple because then every one would post in the own regional language and many of us won't be interact with them ever at all like you too think there would be groups so instead of mylot being a one huge group then it would be divide into unlimited groups less sharing of view we would definitely not be able to make many friends from all over the globe that we meet every day here at mylot

No friend I not think this because I think everyone familiar with English language and it is best because everyone can write in English and Hindi is more difficult for typing than English so not necessary other language but yes if earning is increase means more cent paid on discussion or response then join more people because my friends tell me ohhhhhhhh how less money why you are working in mylot and waste the time. Join other site which is paying more money like mturk

Well I think if mylot would accept more than one language there would be a great divide. By that I mean less unity and possible cultural conflicts. It may also lessen the post quality and it would be hard to monitor post violations like obscene language and stuff since it is stated in different languages. But if the admin can find a way to solution those above problems then I figure it would be more earnings. The thing is it is kind of improbable or VERY hard, but not entirely impossible.

it will be good for the all other country people to write and earn some money through this..

I think it won't work because of language barrier just imagine writing your own language here, only people from your place would be able to respond. It will even limit the participation for other members who do not know that language. I oppose it fully.

Hi friend I don't know if it is allowable to used other language aside from fist language which is English. If that the case, we could not respond from their discussion for sure so I'd rather preferred to use English language and nothing else. And if we, mylotters create our own group, we are created factions here wherein mylotters divides into different groups based on countries they belong with, mylot.com is known as one big family by interacts from each other's topic/discussions. So in my own opinion its better to remain as what it is. God bless!

definitely not the case because then there will be discussions in any language. will have too many users who will work hard here. but then you need more administrators will have more responsibilities. so hopefully this should be done. very good discussion. nice day!

I think it would be good, but it would still have some considerations, maybe it would work if there will be a division per region or country to avoid confusion and misunderstanding with different languages. there can be a local site for different nations and there would be a global site for all the members to interact with each other using the universal language; English. It would be a lot easier to post what is on my mind if I am using my own language, but I don't find it hard either to post in English. So anything goes with me. :)

That does sound like a great idea! But then again it would be a lot of effort and pretty much, we want to connect with each other and in order to connect, we all need to speak one language that is common. That's why English is so common, when you go around to different countries, it's useful to know some English as it's the most common language that different countries learn. Like a tourist, when you go overseas, you can use English to get yourself around. Many countries are learning English. As it's so common, Mylot is in English! If people made groups and spoke to people in their own languages, there would be a less community speaking English. Mylot is a connected community. Not a community where we break off into little groups and ditch the others.

Besides admin costs and others I feel the total atmosphere of unity will be lost . Since we all speak the universal language , English we feel so close to each no matter how far we live or what country we belong .
