Well it's not really new,but it feels like it to me. The curtains and windows are all new. So is the painting around the windows. Was busy all day today doing the painting and hanging of curtains, valances, and drapes and mini-blinds. The color of these curtains in the attatched photo are just a shade darker than the old ones. But the old ones were so faded from the sunshine they had to be replaced. These windows face the east and south so they get a LOT of sunshine all year when the suns shining. Do you get a lot of sunshine in your dining room at all? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Wow, matches the kitchen curtains. I don't have a dining room, and we only have a couple of bedrooms on the south side of the house, the east has one of those bedrooms, another bedroom, the front room and door and the office off on the north side... actually, the house faces ever so slightly south of east, but still, more east than south...

diningroom at the backgrund - My gransdson in trying out his muscles. The windows and veil curtains are at the background.
My windows in living and dining room are facing north (the eaqyivalent of south in my hemisphere). So the rooms are sunny. I´ll try to find a picture of them to post it here. Mine are jusy veils though. It seems that the best I can do is a picture I took with my grandson "exercising" and the dining room in the bckground.

Thanks for the comment. These veil curtains are the cheapest in my country. I bought the veil and got out my sewing machine. I was going to add some heavier canopies, but they costed a King´s ransom, so I letf it like that. The best thing is that they let all the light in so that the room is warm all year around.

My dining room faces north, so no, I do not get too much sunshine in it. I like bright rooms, though. The front of my house faces East, but we have a porch and so the sun does not really shine directly in. Only one west window in the whole house, and I think they did that on purpose to keep the heat away.

That would suck here in Minnesota. My front deck faces due west and the sun gets very hot out there in the summer. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I would love to redo my dining room. We painted our living room over last winter. I'm hoping maybe to do the dining room this winter. I really want to redo my kids rooms too. We have two tall windows in our dining room but it doesn't get a lot of light because of the side of the house it is on. Our neighbors house and large trees kind of block some of the light from coming in.

What a cheerful room! You've added some nice color with those curtains, I would have probably chosen sheers for more light--I'm a nut for sunshine and brightly (naturally) lit rooms. But mine would be missing the color and vibrancy yours has from those curtains. I have terrible decorating sense! I have a dining room that has windows all on the east side with a sort of window seat beneath only it's a long surface with drawers and doors underneath it. It has mini-blinds but I have them up to let more light in, it's a lovely bright room.

I'm often amazed how a little window dressing can alter the feel of a room. Even the mood of the people using it. It looks great Grandpa Bob! I like the dark color of the curtain. It provides a great contrast when the sun is shining out.

I painted the drawers and doors in the kitchen a pinkish color. Somewhat between pink and salmon colored. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

No I don't get alot of sun in my windows. The sun I do get I take advantage off. I would love to have a couple of nice windows that got good sun. My back yard gets full sun all day, thats nice. In the summertime my house stays cool most of the time. The back part of the house gets hot though, but it has to be really hot for that. The new windows and curtains look great, love the color....

I have awnings so I don't get alot of light..well on one of the windows.....one that faces the east doesn't have one on and that is part of the problem with my thermostat....the sunshines on the thermostat so the furnace won't kick on. When I had the new one put in last year I should have had them move it but forgot!

I don't get much sunshine from out dinning room and or front room windows at all. I do get a nice glimpse thought through my kitchen windows. Those curtains you put up are so pretty. I lave burgundy and with my breakfast nook they would go so perfect! You must be feeling really good about all the upgrades lately taking place at home. It will be like if you moved into a whole new home.

I'll check the photocafter I complete my response from my email. I'm so happy for you Grandpa Bob. We don't get a lot of sun in our house. We need new blinds and curtains but will have to wait until we have some extra cash flow to get some.

hi dear GrandpaBob we dont have a separate dining room but we eat in the kitchen. Theres an average amount of sun in that room, the computer room where I sit now and type gets much more sun than the kitchen does, so our herbs are on the window sill in here.
