Arsene Wenger has been trying to downplay the importance of Robin Van Persie to the club by saying that Arsenal is not a one player club. But his importance is so evident on the pitch. His hattrick today won them the big match against Chelsea. Now he has scored 9 goals in the last 5 matches and seems to be in a great run of form. What do you think of Robin Van Persie's importance to Arsenal? Cheers! Ram

He Is Arsenal! Here with our Football we have MVP,most valued player. And Robin is the definition of an MVP. If you take him off the squad , where would Arsenal be? At the bottom!

Exactly what every Arsenal fan is saying. But I guess things aren't usually that easy at these contract negotiations. Apart from pay, the players also want to see the club invest in other quality players so that the club continues to contest for the various titles. Cheers! Ram

Yes, he is their MVP without a doubt. That is why the club has opened a new contract negotiation. This is to ensure that they keep him in the club for a long term. Cheers! Ram

He is certainly an exponential player for Arsenal, but I always agree when a coach says that his team is made from all of the players and it is a mistake to pick only one or two players out. That is the job of the fans or of the team mates, not the manager's. He has to be as a father to the players, and which father says that one of his sons is more important to him or the family as the other? It may demoralize others and that is certainly not good for the team at all.

I think that is one of the strengths of Arsene Wenger. All his players consider him a father figure and he is nicknamed "The Professor". But having said it, this season I think Robin Van Persie is their key player. And Arsenal's future push would depend on whether they can keep him in the club!! Cheers! Ram

Of course, every team has outstanding players, and usually the player who can score the vital goals is considered being the key player. But if the coach would say in a press conference: "Van Persie is the one who keeps us alive" or something like this, the other players would feel bad and maybe even develop some negative feelings towards Wenger. So it is better to keep the relationship as equal as it is possible and let us the fans or the people who watch the game decide talk subjective or the press.

That is absolutely right. A coach cannot single out one player throughout the season. Cheers! Ram

RVP was always an important player for Arsenal. However, he was injured too often for people to understand his importance. This substantial run is his first for the club. As a result, he is able to show his worth, unlike previously when he had a start-stop run.

Yes, injuries are the killer for him. Arsene Wenger must be praying hard that he remains fit. Today again he scored the opening goal and made the final goal for Arsenal!! Cheers! Ram

Well, again Van Persie has shown great performance, not only his goals but also his leadership who really influence motivation of the young gunners. As we know, AVB has appointed defenders especially Terry to marked on Van Persie but still he scored three goals, one of them even from Terry's mistake. I think Arsenal should keep him since after Fabregas and Nasri left,Arsenal is really depends on him.He is the most valuable player in Arsenal now.

Yes, Van Persie definitely is the MVP for Arsenal. I think his performance yesterday really underlined him as a leader of the pack. My personal opinion is that he should have been made captain ahead of Fabregas. But that was a gamble Wenger had to take to retain Fabregas!! Cheers! Ram

VP is a great player.his presence in the pitch is a moral booster.you see he is a kind of player that makes good use of the opportunity that comes his way while on the play ground and he can fallback to help too.okay all I have to say about him is that we can't risk missing him he is indeed important to us.

Yes, his conversion rate is fantastic off late. Given the chances that Arsenal create, the problem has always been as to who will put the ball in the goal. In last 8-10 games that person has been Van Persie. Cheers! Ram
