November 1st is always mistaken as All Souls Day, this always confused me as well as a kid cuz i wonder why people head on the Cemetery on November 1st when in fact it's not yet All Souls Day.. November 2nd supposed to be the time where we should visit our departed loved ones don't get too excited drinking and playing loud music on the the top of yer respected tombstone. Let's make this clear once and for all November 1st is All Saints Day. November 2nd is All Souls Day aka Solemn Day ( we should pray for our departed loved ones) it is not a circus festive Day that everybody mistakenly celebrate.

We visit our departed loved ones but we do that after the circus days are over. I refuse to be bothered by the crowd and would prefer to visit the tomb some other days. I find it quite impractical to visit the tomb on crowded days when there are days when we can freely visit the tomb without the disturbance of the crowd. And also we don't pray for departed loved ones. I believe it is useless. The departed loved ones have already settled to their final destination and our prayers can't move them from one place to another. So we visit the tomb (not to pray) just to show our love for them even if they have passed from this life to another.

I guess everybody knows that nov1 is for the saints and nov2 is for the soul of our departed beloved ones. for me it doesnt matter whether it is 1 or 2, i go to the cemetery on a convenient time like going on the 30 or 31st of november because on this date only few come to the cemetery plus the traffic is not that bumper to bumper. For me its the convenience that matters rather than following what has been used to be. Anyway, it is our own beloved ones are the reason why we visit on this occasion and not anything else, we can pray for them anywhere and any time we wanted.
