That can help, but still, you got cellphones connecting in the internet nowadays. So getting rid of the computer might not completely help in abolishing internet addiction. Maybe using a phone that can't access the internet and also unsubscribing with your internet connection. That should do the trick because spending money going in online cafes will surely be a pain for you just to stay connected online. But still, the best way is to focus on other activities or hobbies that interests you or you enjoy. It is a surefire way to eliminate that online internet addiction. Get addicted to other things to move you away to get addicted to that thing that you are addicted to, in the topic starter's case, the internet.

If you want to get rid of internet addiction, you should try to divert to other things or activities to work on. Try looking for a new hobby or sports activity.
They are a great way to keep you busy and not think of the online stuff. Also, going into long vacations can help you get rid of the internet every once in a while. But still, I feel having a sport or hobby will do the trick. Focus on a sport that you like or hobby that you are interested in and you will suddenly find yourself diminishing your minutes in the internet and putting out some of those to your hobby or sports activities. Good sports activities includes running, badminton and tennis. I hope this helps.

Like being on the INTERNET in general? If so then just quit the whole thing all together. Start small though and gradually go from there. Maybe quite going on facebook for a week then quit playing games and so on. Maybe watch movies instead but it will be better to go out. Read a book or something. If you are not really a book reader, you can be. I gave my best-friend a book when we went camping. He thought nothing of it but when he was so bored he started reading it. And now he loves the author and reads as much of his work as he can.

Cut off internet connection from ISP. Rather go to shops when internet is needed, there you can control your time using the web because you are charged with the time you spend surfing the internet. Or you can divert your attention to activities that are more productive like cleaning the house, cooking, reading, writing or do sports! :)
