Hi anusha Hows the mom to be She should'nt be worried. You can always give a pleassant surprise to your friend who is away in many ways. Pick up that mobile handset and call her wishing her. You can also email her or best - send her some gifts like a bunch of flowers. I am sure you would find a lot of sites that deliver flower and gifts at the door. I use those who also donate a part of their fee as charity.

No. I am not a charity member though I was with CRY - Child Relief and You for a few days but then I realized there are rules that they follow. So what I did was I started doing it independently. Yes, not in a big way but I always buy cards and stuff from UNICEF as I believe they will always give a part of their income and even use it as Charity and it will reach the needy. Apart from that I also visit a local Orphanage at least once a month and do something for my little friends there. I think we needn't follow or join anything but yes, we can always do our roles. And this way we can be sure that our charity doesnt end up in the pockets of some people who misuse funds and kill the nobility involved with Charity. You and your hubby can too try to find out a local orphanage or a Old People Home and spend some time there - Many a times they need time of ours than the money. (I can afford to do this as I am ill and stay at home most of the days. Also there is not enough of income to donate to those organizations).

Well, are you friends on Facebook? You could post all kinds of things there on her page to let her know you care and are thinking about her. Also send her an Email or something and call her, if you can afford too. Just letting her know you are still there and care helps make her day more special for sure even when you cannot always be together.

I think your best friend will understand even your not present on her birthday celebration like you did before. Sending her e greeting will suffice for the meantime. I guess remembering the date of her birthday, she would knew that you thought of her dearly. Just make up for it when you see each other next time.

Friend birthday coming means, one month before plans are coming into our mind, what gift we have to give to them, in what way we have to celebrate their birth day party, how we have to wish them in what style?, like this bunch of questions are come. Give a gift which she/he likes most. Say your wishes in your simple words(with your love or affection). Try to wish them first or be with them today.

it's the same with me. it's my best friend's birthday too and i couldn't go home to celebrate with him.:| we always had a party with his family and our other friends the past couple of years. we had a slumber party last year. but i couldn't go home to our hometown this year because of work. i tried to send out a message to our classmates back in high school about his birthday so they could plan something and celebrate, but i guess it failed. all i could offer was a 'happy birthday' greeting. sad really. but it can't be helped.:| i'll treat him to ice cream the next time we meet. haha:)

You can send her gifts like dress or chocolates. the one that she really likes. But present really do not matter to me. As long as you always keep in touch and in your heart she's you best friend. that would be the best gift you could give her

How far exactly is she away from you? I would suggest you send her a gift or a letter but if it is too costly for you, then you could use modern technology to close the gap between the two of you. Chat with her or talk to her at skype. Greet her happy birthday, ask her how her day is going. I'm sure she would still appreciate the fact that you did not forget her birthday even though you are away from one another.
