Good afternoon,you guys!
I lived with my parents from elementary school to high school and they took care of my all the time, then I entered into my university, left them and at that time I was very happy because I though I would be free.In my university,I called them once a month just for asking for some money. Now,I am busy working for my business far from my hometown and also call my parents once a month for giving them money, most of the time,I miss them deep down because I know they are the most important person to me under the sun!
Every month they call me several times just for the same questions as how is your health,if I take care of youself.ect.One day,my father called me and asked me to go back when they were old enough because they would be very lonely if I didn't stay with them, then I cried,I begin to call them once a week from then on because I know my parents are older and older and most of the time they just want someone to speak with them.
How many times do you usually call your parents one month? Please take care of your parents and stay with them as soon as possible when they are old enough just as they did for you when you were just a kid!^_^
Have a good weekend!

I talk to my mother once or twice a week. I do not talk to my father because he was not a good father when I was little. He still is not a very nice man. But my mother is very very important to me. I do live about an hour away from her but we talk lots and when we can we see each other. When she had surgery I came to stay with her for awhile and when my step father had surgery I did the same. My mother in law lives beside us so we see her alot. I feel that our parents have raised us until we were old enough to take care of ourselves so when they get older and can't take care of themselves it is our time to do so.

Honestly,i almost call my parents for one or two days.I miss them so much and my mom really love to talk to me in the phone.I have my things and goals to tell them and i also tell them not to worry about me cause i'm good.Anyway, thanks for sharing this topic, though it is really not that easy for one to work in big city.

I call my parents once or twice a week. My parents and I don't live on the same island, but their home isn't too far away, so I am able to visit them relatively often. When I call I usually talk to my mother, because most of the time my father is busy with activites outside the home. My mother tells me news about my relatives and we talk about the things that has happened since last time. When I call my mother she usually asks me when we are coming to their island. I am happy that I live relatively close to my parents. When I lived in the north of Denmark I wasn't able to visit them very often.

I am staying with my parents, and compare to you, I am more dependent on my parents rather I can be independent of myself. Actually, I felt a bit ashame after I read your post, since you enter university, you are taking care of yourself. While I am be able to make money of my own, I still living with my parents, and also I can't get away from my home too. You are much better than me, think about it.

Wow!beautiful discussion July .
I call my mom because she live here in the USA everyday, and I call my dad two days in the week because he doesn't live here so I have to pay long distance call, and I am not working so I don't have income.
But each time that I can I call then, the last Wednesday was my birthday and my husband gave me 150 to buy dresses or makeup, but I send it to dad because for me it is more important that to buy vanities,.
