I can't use google in my PC

I was trying to search to google.com but after hitting enter. The system ain't working its connecting/rotating/searching for a couple of minutes. I end up nothing. But when I go to the site gmail.com I can get thru. The PC is not configured for any kind of blockage or prohibitation. I didn't installed leech block on my Mozilla Thunderbird. Haaayzzz I am really frustrated. The search engine I can depend at the moment is yahoo.
