Mind Your Own Business Anyway

I wonder why some people are always minding what others are doing. Common, what do you have to do with your neighbor who comes home quietly, drunk almost daily yet he never bothers to ask you even a penny to buy that bottle of beer. Why are you curious to know what your neighbor is wearing, yet you don't pay for her or his clothes. Why can't we mind our own business. It is curiosity or what. Be careful though, "curiosity killed a cat".

Curiosity killed a cat. LOL so true.. I'm amazed to find that almost 50% of my expenditures the last two months were allocated to internet and non food objects. Wish I had been a little less curious.

I actually don't care about those things. I live in a large apartment complex and try very hard to be friendly and yet keep to myself. I have witnessed a neighbor abusing his daughter and yes,...called it in. Examples like what you give...I could care less and probably wouldn't even notice. I will say though that I live in a low income apartment complex and I do see a lot of people getting away with paying next to nothing for rent and having boyfriends live with them whose incomes aren't reported and that sit around drinking in the summer, wasting fuel in the winter and driving nicer cars than most single parents could afford etc and ignoring their kids...you can't help but notice those kinds of things here. Still, I try to keep to myself. Is it my business? Well, I work and pay for these people who cheat the system (and I'm not at all talking about all people on welfare) so yes..I do think it's my business. The real saying goes, "Curiousity killed the cat" but "satisfaction brought it back". We should not put blinders on but maybe just discriminate more about what is worthy of our attention.

If someone is doing something that doesn't affect my life in any way, it is just something that I could really not care in any way whatsoever about. A lot of people would in fact disagree with that fact. Trust me there are a lot are going to be just nosing into everyone's business. It is rather frustrating. I do in fact rather think that people should just mind their own business. Trust me when you say, you'd live longer if you only worried about your life. Yet I have a feeling that many people want to know everything about anything. Even if it doesn't affect their own life. That is really just all that there is to it. There are going to be many people who should learn a lesson and worry about their own affairs. Given that they tend to be messed and mangled with their own affairs. So yes, be mindful that there are some things that are going to really be private, and they should remain so at all times.

I really cannot stand someone like that, I usually feel quite irritated. Iam less concerned of what others are doing so I don't expect someone to really show concern on my businesses. It annoy me so mucg.

As for myself, I don't care what my neighbors do. They're big boys and girls, they can do what they please. I am nobody to judge them. I wouldn't care if they came home drunk every night. Long as they don't bang on my door to let them in! I don't care how they dress. Long as they leave their place wearing clothes! Having friendly neighbors isn't like it used to be, where everyone knew each other. Seems as if everyone minds their own business....around here anyways.

That good, let us all learn to attend to other importance issues. Infact, we should be busy to do something to improve our messed up economy rather than staying out and gossiping about others.

Yes I agree, I hate my neighbors too as if they need to put a surveillance cam in front of our house just to know all the things and activity that I do. And also I'm kinda impress with my neighbors, looks like there is nothing left to do in their home but just go outside and gossip everyday.

vasumathi: At the same time we must be friendly to our neighbours. Sometimes they may be able to help us more than our own close relatives since the relatives may be away from residence. good day.

Watch out of such people. Don't let them be your friend or else you will regret later.

Those people who are minding others business are blind to their own skulls in their cupboards. They dont realise what they are doing are a waste of their time when they could be improving their own lives by helping themselves AND helping others.

That is exactly what I mean. We have other imporant issues to attend to rather than gossiping and watching around what your neighbor or friend is doing.

anyways, the word "mind your own business" is not a good word to use. If we are in a high level position, we will use positive words. That will shine our honesty.

I really don't get what you mean, "mind your own business" is a term used to simply means that what doesn't concern you should not bother you in anyway. It is a way of telling someone to leave others alone and attend to his or her chores rather than wasting time been concerned with others.

I can understand your feelings. When others come and intrude into our privacy it affects. At the same time we must have good relationship with our neighbours because they are the only people who can come to our rescue in times of need. Even our relatives may be away from home at times. Hope you follow what I mean. good day. nice discussion indeed.

To avoid those petty fights. That is why I simply say, don't mind what your neighbor is doing or else you gonna be fighting always.
