This discussion interested me too. My sister wants to buy an iPhone, but the price is quite high and I'm searching for a cheaper smart phone cause I think iPhone are very famous and so you pay more for the brand. I started a discussion about this few hours ago. I'm very curious to read different thinks.

Even i Think iPhone is over priced. You have pay a lot to own one. I do agree that it is good but still its over-priced. Android is a good alternative or may be even better in some ways. It also has very good functionality and the WOW factor in it. The Android App Market is growing exponentially and is about to beat Apple. And the best thing about Android is that it is available is diverse price ranges to suit any kind of budget.

Hi!
I have not exactly used smart phones, which I suppose are basically touch screen phones.
You could go for a blackberry or an iphone, provided it suits your budget.
I have 3G phone with QWERTY key pad. I enjoy working on it.
As regards your desire to go for mylotting or mp5 through your smart phone, I feel that you would find it difficult mylotting through your smartphone in comparison to working on a PC or a laptop.
PC/laptop will always have a larger screen and full key board, which is easier to operate for posting our responses/comments on mylot discussions.
All the best!

Don't you feel inconvenience while using your mobile for mylotting?
If you feel comfortable mylotting through your mobile phone, then you will have no problem with any smart phone.
All the best.

I suggest you go for a Android. Even i recently purchased one. I can easily post here in mylot using my Android. The overall functionality and user interface is all very awesome. You can get a Android in almost every price bracket. You can easily select one according to your budget. If you can provide your budget may be i can suggest you some phones...

I am currently using HTC Wildfire, a mid range Android. I am completely satisfied with the performance. Just wish the processor was a little faster but thats too much to ask for given the price tag which comes with it. HTC, Samsung, Sony Ericcson, L.G. are major brands that provide Android handsets. I personally like HTC and Sony Ericcson the most.!!!

Well, it will always depend on what you are going to use it for and how much are you willing to spend. I currently have two Android superphones, and they have been great so far. BTW, smartphones are a level lower than superphones. Most high-end Android handsets today, and even the iPhone, are not really categorized as smartphones anymore, rather they are called superphones. :)

Are you already on a phone contract? If so that will tell you what your options will be with a smart phone.
I just got boostmobile. I really am glad I cut the strings of a current contract I was under.
Their pricing was getting ridiculous.
Depending on what you are looking for you might check out boost I know they have like 3 smart phones now and 2 or 3 blackberry phones too.
I am working my way up to a smart phone but paying off my debt and cancellation of the plan I was on. But cutting them off I will save over 700.00 in a year by not having the contract and falling prey to their telling me when I can have a new phone and when I can't without paying full price anyway.
Good luck searching there are a lot of scams out there now a days just to get you a certain kind of phone.
Hope you spend some time to research before you leap.
But you might want to check out
boostmobile.com
I am only paying 50.00 a month now for my phone and it reduces 5.00 every 6 months until I get to 35.00. thats one of the MAIN reasons I went with them and I have unlimited web, text, and phone calls.
Its awesome compared to the contract I was in for over 5 years.
They always told me how they valued me being a good standing customer and staying with them. Well you should have heard them the day I closed them down. I sure was not their friend then!

I suggest you buy iPhone. I had an iPhone and Samsung Glaxy before and iPhone was the best. It had a better software and lots of feautres. I am using my iPhone when I surf the net and also when I answer discussions here in mylot. It is good because it's very easy to use and it has a large screen so it won't be hard to use it.
