I love Elizabeth Bennet

I love her too, despite her prejudice :). Unlike all my friends who have read the book/ seen the movie, I like her character more than Darcy's. Austen allows us to know her more intimately and she just feels real - he, not so much. He's aloof (and, other than that perfect) but not so interesting. She's clever, witty, flawed, and probably as independent as a respectable young lady could be back then. She's one of the few 19th century literary characters a modern woman can really identify with.
