bring to your picnic a finger food that i am sure everyone of your friends will love to eat...its sweet potato french fries. its not like the ordinary potato french fries that we buy in Jollibee or McDonalds which gets saggy when it gets cold and not very good to eat anymore, sweet potato french fries stays crispy even when its cold in fact its flavor improves when its cold. you can cook it with or without pepper but my family and i love it with lots of black pepper and its not very expensive not like the potato french fries we usually buy in fast food chain stores that costs a lot.

I don't know where you live and what kind of food you like.
To me it depends on whom I take for a picknick.
Lately we had pancakes in all kinds of (added apple or bacon or cheese etc to it).
You can also make a salat of boiled rice or pasta or couscous or bulgur and add vegetables, meat or fish or egg to it, salt, (red) pepper and if you like some mayonaise.
Cake with banana or peach is great. You can also make a pie out of it. Add the cake mix in the vorm and part of peaches on it. The cake-mixture will rice (it will look great). After that put some powder sugar on it.
Easy to make: filled eggs (boil them get out the yellow stir this with mayo, salt, pepper stirr it and fill the white egg parts with it).
Old pancakes (normal ones) left over? You can fill them with left over of home made spagehetti saus. Close them like an envelope. Add some cheese on the top and warm them in oven or pan with lid or microwave for a while.
Fresh fruit salad (home made add orange juice to it so apple etc won't change colour).

Aww.. How sweet! I haven't had a picnic with friends in ages. Now it's just going out to the movies, playing games and shopping. What happened to the old traditional picnic at the park? Sandwiches are quite a popular picnic food to bring along, very simply and quite tasty too. I'm more of a sweet and desert person so what would make a really good picnic is a cream cheese cake or any type of cake. Something sweet to make everyone happy! Make a salad too, maybe a seizure salad, we all need our veggies to make our day!
For drinks, I think some simply drinks like soda is fine. If you want the healthier option, prepare some home made lemonade or orange juice.
