Don't the politicians do that already? I can't imagine one telling the truth on ANYTHING.

I am a politician. Politicians are human and subject to temptation. Temptation without restraint isn't temptation, it's an invitation to abuse trust and power. ALL politicians need a leash law. They must be under absolute control of the voters at all times. Only then can they make decisions which are in the best interests of their region or constituency. Politicians are ALL liars and can't be trusted any further than you can throw them. I want to be in politics and wonder what is going to be used to tempt me if I get elected.

This is a major concern when the ACLU and Judicial Watch join forces to fight this, everyone should be concerned. It sounds like the administration has something to hide and is taking preventive action. For example this could be used to stop the Fast and Furious investigation. The question should be what other things could be covered under this policy and what will it allow any administration to get away with.
