This is an example of the types of marriages I talked about in my previous post. How do you get married for a period of 72 hours and why marry in the first place. Was it a show off or what. I say it again, don't get married if you don't understand the meaning of the wedding vows.

I agree. People should not get married unless they truly love the person they are marrying and vice versa. That is why I also agree with being girlfriend boyfriend for a long time instead of getting married in an instant.
With regards to Kim's issue, I don't think it is not new anymore to their culture. Especially in her society, Hollywood. Well.. am not surprised after all.

I was with my ex for 9 yrs, but we never made it down the isle. Which was really good in the end, I could walk away and not care. my current partner was with his ex for 4 yrs and i dont think he mentioned marriage to her. He first mentioned marriage to me whilst i was killing mice, that he was going to marry me.
Normally men run from Marriage, but whats the use of doing it for popularity. Makes me wonder if famous people are capable of love and a long relationship?

I think they fell in love and Kris thought that once he married Kim she would be his wife Only and she thought that he understood that she was accustomed to her lifestyle and she wasn't going to change. There were signs. But they wanted to marry. And Kim got her posh wedding. I'm sorry for them both.

Hmmm... Couldn't say I was surprised.
It's these types of people who give marriages a bad name. I mean, if they could do it just like that - then what role models they become to the teens and people who look up to them. These types of people should be given a boot camp on marriage first before allowing them to get married.
It's sad when a marriage doesn't last, but I guess they're just not meant to be in the first place.
Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

there a lot of reason why people wed. i am married for 9 years now and i know why i wanted to get married. for i met this lady who is perfect fit for me. we've been in a relationship for 3 years before we decided to get married. we are ready to accept our short comings and flaws. i married the woman that i want to spend my life with, i want to be gray with and to be the mother of my child. some people get wed because they want security, some people wed because they are pregnant already, some people get wed just because. kim wed for the reason that they need a boost on their reality show. har har har. or she wants to get wed also with a person who is popular. i dont believe that they got married because of love. just my opinion.

Kim Kardashian has about as much sense as Paris Hilton... that's to say, about as much as a toilet brush. Her entire purpose (and the purpose of all the new generation of overly-rich "debutantes") is just to get her face in the press. To be famous for being famous. Consequently, nothing she does surprises me (or interests me).
It's pathetic, to be honest. Even worse, there are people who actually look up to KK and PH as role models. That's just frightening.

I think reality stars and other celebrities need to really think about things before getting married. How many celebrities get married and divorced in the public eye. I think that is part of the reason why young people do not take marriage as serious as it should be.

Mashnn,
I believe there's a lot of red light signals regarding this coming fiasco.
For a start, Kris will really have to learn his lesson about jumping onto the marriage bandwagon prematurely the hard way. It was already heading towards crisis situation when he proposed to Kim after barely knowing her - I just couldn't believe that he claimed that he does not know that Kim (his bride to be, then) was actually married before at the age of 19 and divorced in 2004, in one of the episodes of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" and clearly indicating that he does not know anything more about her. Yet, we find him proposing after 6 months into this doubtful and hideous public relationship.
I just have to give a hand to them for probably arranging the most misfit marriage of all time which as you can see lasted for only 72 days. I don't believe that their marriage would have nothing to do with filling their pockets full of ignorant fans' monies which according to estimations see the couple net a reported $18million from magazine deals, TV coverage and endorsements - that's $250,000 a day. And, I am anticipating more with this tabloid rich divorce proceedings.
I hate to say this and really no offense to their fans that they have all been made suckers by this couple.

Mashnn,
Unfortunately, I don't think there's any turning back now that the divorce had been filed.
On the note of understanding, I wonder how he could ever arrive there when he does not even know of this divorce except from the tabloids. I cannot help feeling this marriage is merely just a show.

I think you right, friend. They should not get married if they don't respect the sanctity of marriage. Those celebrities must be put to jail in such actions they make. They blatantly disrespect the sanctity of marriage...it seems marriage is a kind of joke...
They are representing good example to the public. They should be example for everything. This is the reason why many people out there think about divorce is a little differences...

You are right. Maybe those celebrities married just for the spur of moment thing, and they won't serious about it at all. For 732 days, merely 2 and half months, wow, that is something to read on the news. Good luck!

When I saw it in the news, I couldn't believe it at first. Just barely 3 months and they'll end their marriage?! I mean, what were they thinking getting married in the first place?
Anyways, I also browsed some list about the Shortest Marriages ever. Part of the list was Britney Spears, Nicky Hilton, Charlie Sheen Etc. Some of the marriages lasted only hours! Wow.
Maybe because they're too famous, and stuff. Too many choices and they can't stick to just one partner to spend their lives with.

Yeah troubled maybe. Perhaps that's what you get when all your life you've been in the spotlight. You wouldn't know how it is to live, well...normally.

I don't even understand why that guy even married Kim. The whole world knows about how she likes sleeping with other men. There's even a famous tape of her with Reggie Bush all over the internet.
This is your typical woman raised in a female-entitlement culture.
The man needed to have a backbone.
No man wants another man's scraps.

Oh... Okay I do not know who she married, and that she was married - maybe i was not reading news that much, especially the hollywood bits and chisms.
I think most divorces do come from the celebrity... but it does happen to everyone for all sorts of reasons. maybe it is just surprising that they are only maried 72 days, not even weeks and they no longer think they are going to be able to work out their marriage. wow! that sure sounds really awful... =(

72 hoursWhen i saw the new the other day, I was .Why did they get married in the first place? This marriage was not base on love, because if it was then it would last a life time.
This couple give marriage a bad name,These people are a bunch of jokers. And they don't know what the meaning of marriage, and love.

I agree. I think Kim's wedding was a big fake. I think she just did it for publicity's sake. She was saying she wanted the divorce because of time conflicts and difference of schedules with the husband. But before she got married, she already knew that, didn't she? Kim's life is all about showbiz. She just wants to always be in the headlines. I don't have anything against her but she should take her marriage vows seriously. She should work on her marriage if there are problems just like any ordinary couple.

Kim Kardashian's marriage was just a publicity stunt. The wedding was still being shown on my country's MTV channel and the rumor of a divorce was already on the Internet. I really don't understand these celebrities. They make the institution of marriage into a farce.

Divorce in 72 hours or 72 days. 72 hours means --nowadays it is possible.
In companies we have a system of confirmation after 6 months. These six months are used to study the fellow and whether he can get used to the style of working in the company. Same way a marriage should last initially for one year and thereafter one year after first child birth. then there will be less chances of divorce thereafter.
