I really hate her aunt for saying that... no child would ever be hapy if their parents died. Even if her father was a drunkard and even hurt his wife, she still loved him. I be the aunt just said those words because Charice didn't give them money when she became famous. But where were they when Charice and her mom and brother were having a hard time? Where were they when Charice joined tons of singing contests just to provide her family with food? Charice is a nice girl who earned her way to success and people should stop putting her down.

Hi Lady1993! I've seen the news a while ago and saw the aunt said that too. Although we don't really know what issues or what both family went through before, my initial thought about her line was also about Charice and her mom being happy about what happened with the dad. She did not said any names but we are not dumb not to know what she's trying to say. It is really wrong to even think that someone (especially the own daughter) will be happy about her dad's loss. This is something, even with great anger, not someone would wish for her own father. Instead of saying such words, she should vent her emotions and rant on the killer. Bitterness and anger deserves to be put on the killer not on the ex-wife and kids, right?

I saw on another interview, i think it was on qtv(news), she clearly said that Charice is happy and all. Which I think is really horrible- she should not have said those harsh words at all.

It's indeed horrible and childish (though she's not a child anymore, which I really could not understand)... if it's only about money then I still don't think it's right to say that.

I haven't heard that from the news yet. That is really a terrible thing to say, especially during at this point when they should just grieve quietly. Perhaps her aunt likes stealing the spotlight? Some people just like adding more drama to an already tragic event. And yeah, perhaps there is some hidden agenda or underlying reasons behind her words.

I hope she did not just say that just to be talked about. It is good though, that they have settled things in both families and the suspect surrendered himself too.

I gree with what you said. No,not us children would be happy even if our parents who abandoned us and who let us suffer die. That statement was totally uncalled for. I wish though that charice would not say anything anymore because theless talk the less. Mistakes. Codolences to her family.

I heard that the murder f her father has brought their family together- they had made up and forgiven each other.. Fortunately, good things still come after horrible ones. I hope they don't fight again or exchange harsh words.

Charice is a Filipina singer who is also famous internationally. Yes, but some rumors are just too much... Anyone in her place would be really offended. These kinds of rumors could really break someone.

I agree. I was not able to hear this news on TV yet. It was only one of my friend who share this news to me. Well, I am not a die hard fan of Charice but I am proud of her in bringing our country so much pride. I also hope for the best of Charice. She do not worth all the intrigues. She may hate his father but it does not mean that there is no little or remaining love on her heart for him. He is still the father. At least, Charice has a respect to him. Charice is a good girl. I may not that sure about this, but this is what I believe.

Based from what I have observed, Charice has remained down to earth, amidst all the intrigues that she became ver confident- "lumalaki na ang ulo"... I think she is quite humble and just enjoys singing and not really doing it only for the money..

My father had left our family for 22 years now and has been living with his mistress and they even have 5 kids together. For that span of 22 years, my mother has to depend on her family side to support me and my two siblings financially & emotionally because my mother suffered from depression after they separated. It was my father's fault for that tribulation, it was also my father's fault that she had to stop working before because he promised with his marriage vows to provide, protect and care for his family. Had my mom continued working and earning, it won't be difficult for her to sustain and spend for us even after separation. I haven't held any grudge against my father. I still love him but it's not the same kind of level that I should give him. I give him the quality of love he deserves because we were really never close to each other. BUT NEVER could a daughter or son be happy seeing his or her father being murdered. That's just so inhumane! The aunt should have focused her anger to the killer, who was the primary reason why Pempengco's life was took tragically.

I am sorry for what happened to your family.. it really pains me to see incomplete families, and parents leaving their children for another person. it's a good thing that they made amends though- a few days after the statement.

No matter what it still her father and no one has the right to say that she is happy for what had happen. Perhaps those siblings are just envy and besides they are the one who caused trouble for the family, so they have no right to say bad against charice.

Yeah, i also think that they are envious of her success too and they feel bad because they are not getting any. It's really scary and sad what money can do to people these days. But i still hope they fix their family issues.
