it is really annoying, when i try to read a discussion on mylot or other stuff, I just get shocked that the monitor goes off, for a second then on again. I looked for solutions on google, but nothing helped. It has been going on for a few days. Anyone experienced this to.. any tips?

I would think that the only solution would have to be replacing the monitor. Or there could be a lose connection some place. I did have this happen to me but there was more wrong than just the monitor. Luckily I always have a warranty on any electrical item I own so I got it repaired.

hi lady,
how old is your computer? it might be a loose connection.
i had a problem with my previous monitor because there was this loose connection and it had to spark and stop working before i had to change it. am lucky it didnt burst. but i knew it was dangerous so i would rather send that to a technician before anything bad comes to worse.

May it was of your power problem. Check this at your power cord. If that id fine then your power supply for all the things of your house..I never experienced this problem.

It might be just a loose power plug. Check the plug on both sides the side that is attached to the monitor and the side that is plugged on the powersource, try to press on it firmly. If its still turning off and on, then may be its the cable that is defective itself. If you have a spare cable or you know someone that can spare you one, you can try changing the power cable of your monitor.

Hi Lady1993 :)
Have you checked the power plug? It is usually the main reason why the monitor keeps turning on and off. You have to make sure that the plug is tight enough so it won't slip from time to time. How old is your monitor? Maybe it is too old and needs replacement? I had a LCD monitor before, I used it for a couple of years and it suddenly just gave up on me. So I had no choice but to buy a new one. Good luck.
