A new life. (sort of)

My kitchen is getting a new life kind of. This photo shows some work I've done recently. New curtains and new paint color for my drawers and doors, and new handles as well. The color is called coral something. It's a cross I say between a peach and a salmon. I like it. The color seems to vary depending on the light in the room as you can tell from the front cupbaord which got direct the flash from the camera and looks lighter colored. But I need to get a different color curtain now as they somewhat clash. I also added new handles on everything. A lot of cash just for handles as I had 26 to replace. Next task is to paint the white trim around the cabinets and the celing and walls. Then a new light fixture as well. Have you painted recently in your home/residence?

I will get to the picture in a moment. I was trying to imagine a peach color along with the rose on those curtains that you showed us last week. I need to start doing some stuff around the house, or painting something, etc.

I really don't think the colors clash at this point. But my wife and daughter think we need a new color curtain. So I'll be looking for some new ones or material for my daughter to make us some new ones. LOL!

I think it did not look too bad in the picture but sometimes it is just time for a change.

hi dear GrandpaBob my dear husband painted and wallpapered everything when we moved in here 6 years ago so no painting for a long time ahead. We are a non smokers household so it still looks good here. the only thing we do right now is put some foil stuff where the heaters are so its insulated a little more as we hope it saves some energy. The house is not insulated at all and we didnt know when we moved in.

Your neighbors are going to think you won the lottery, what with all this work you've done on your house.

I painted the living room and dining room this spring. I have a weeks vacation on Thanksgiving week so I am going to paint the upstairs hallway and my bedroom and hopefully finally get new carpet too. It depends on what my son has going on. He is going to lay the carpet.

Yeah when we put in our kitchen cabinets (DIY & very basic cheap ones that probably need replacing) we looked at putting handles on the cabinets and drawers and you are indeed right that gets expensive. The cheap ones are plastic or low quality looking and the nice ones well you already know are several dollars on up each.

No. I dont have a house of my own, but , I am thinking to ask the landlord if I can paint this apartment i just want to paint one wall of a bright color to give a little bit of a modern look. Your kitchen looks good , I like that coral color You put on the cabinets. I hope Your kitchen looks as good as new . happy painting. You know? also I love the smell after painting, smell like new and I like new things.

I rent my house, so I don't get to remodel anything. I have thought about new hardware for the cabinets, but they are so stinking expensive. I only have 12 that I would have to replace and that is still too much for me to shell out.
What color are the walls going to be when you get done painting them?
