Why are people always discontented?!

Good afternoon,you guys!
Content is happiness,everyone understands this opinion but always is discontented!Maybe just because they are human beings,or they will not!
When I just graduated from my university,I found a job with enough money for my life,at the beginning,I was very content because sometimes I could also buy some beautiful dresses for myself,but as the time went,I started to discontent the money I earned at that time,and then,I changed my job in another city and found a job which could give me twice more than my last job,I felt very happy and thought that would be what I really wanted because I could not only afford my own life but also give much money to my parents who earned very little every month!Now,one year passed and I felf discontented once again but I was also very happy everyday!I know happiness is more important than earning much more money!^_^
I know some people are not content just like me on all sides in their lives!Why are poeple always discontented?!

Do you know this short poem that goes like this:

This describes exactly how discontented man could be and by being so, he becomes a fool. Basically men are mostly discontented. This results out of our tendency to focus on the material aspects of life. Nevertheless discontentment could lead to achieving better things in life. It could help people to strive to find better opportunities. But be careful... we should not be discontented to the point of discouragement or unhappiness but rather we should use this discontentment to achieve greater things in life. But if for some reason, we fail in our endeavor to gain more than we have, we should not feel bad but rather learn to count the blessings we have and enjoy and thank God for what we have and whatever He allowed in our life.

discontentment could be taken in a positive way.it could be a source of inspiration to strive double hard to be better if not the best in everything that we get ourselves into. like for example a dancer needs to be discontented with her performance and persevere in undergoing constant and rigorous training. discontentment can also help motivate us to aim high...to be ambitious ...to go on living because life would also be boring if we get contented with what we have and with who we are at the moment. if contentment sits in then we wont strive hard anymore to improve ourselves...to have better lives for ourselves and for our families and for our communities!

Because we are very ungrateful. How many times do I forget that I can still walk, see when there are so many that can't do even the basics? How ungratteful am I? And so little times I pray I'm thankful for so much I have to God...
We are not happy when we are ungratteful because we always have many blessings but we keep looking for things we don't have. That's the key to be unhappy: to look outside to what we have not.

I think it's because we are human beings and our satisfaction has no limitation.Because we've been wanted to explore and experience anything that has been exist here in world.Our wants is over flowing..That is why we never know what is the meaning of real happiness.It covers by our unnecessary wants which makes us discontented.
Being simple makes us real and exist happy.But, those wants will just make us fun for a while.Which we can't treasure and value in our life.

People are always looking for contentment thru changing. Maybe you are a person that can easily get a job that's why you always look for another job that can make you more happier than your present job.
For me there's nothing wrong with it. The satisfaction that it will give is more important that will benefit also that person.

People are always discontented because of unending wants and desire. If people who were always hooked with materials things and worship those goods more than anything else,then they will always be discontented because when they already have it, they tend to long for more and want more.
Basically, it is all about human desires. If you are happy with the blessings you've received each and every day and thank God for the blessings He gave, then we will be on the contentment stage because we know that God will always provide.

Well happiness cannot be measured by money alone. There are those that have plenty of money yet are not happy. There are those that have less money yet they still could afford to laugh and enjoy life. I agree with you that being content brings happiness. But sad to note that human as we are, there is always the basic concept of wanting more. Until we are satisfied, then we will never be that happy.

Satisfaction does not come with money, i had always believed this. I always knew that money will not help so i have chosen a job which does not give me a big paycheck but i am happy with that.
You should think about what do you want from life and what are you doing and if there is a variance, you should start doing what you want from life.
