Honest Opinions Please!

I created a bumper sticker I'd like to put on my car, but I wanted to get people's opinions about it before I bought it. I'm adding a picture of it to this discussion.
Here are a couple of specific concerns I had:
1) Is the message I'm trying to send clear?
2) I know the police, firefighter, and paramedic symbols are clear, but do you know what that other pic is suppose to symbolize? Is it obvious?
3) Should "Thank You Blue" be a color? I originally had it blue, but I thought maybe making the words colorful may take away from the pictures.
4) Are all the pictures in the right spot? Should any be swapped?
Any other comments/critiques you have about it please share!
Thanks!

Are you asking me to evaluate a picture? Well it's a good thing I am getting an "A" in art doing the same thing...
1) Is the message I'm trying to send clear? Yes, the message is very clear.
2) I know the police, firefighter, and paramedic symbols are clear, but do you know what that other pic is suppose to symbolize? Is it obvious? The soldiers I am afraid were not so clear at first. Are you able to dress them in camo and place them on an American flag background? Or place the flag in position where they are saluting the flag?
3) Should "Thank You Blue" be a color? Yes, maybe something brighter, or even see if making it red, white and blue would look good..

Lol you have a lot of good ideas! I will play with the flag thing and see how it looks (you never know how it'll turn out with this site).
What do you mean by adding an outline to each letter?

Thank you carmel!
I do want to keep one pic to symbolize each group because of limited space, so I'm not sure having them saluting a flag would work. I thought about using just an American Flag to represent the military, but for me the flag is too generic, it symbolizes SO much more. I want something that would symbolize the military in a clear way...hmmmm..I'll have to do some brainstorming.
I tried doing "Thank you Blue" in red white and blue, but it didn't work out. The site that lets me design and buy this sticker makes it a little difficult lol. You have to type each word in a different box to make them different colors, and then it's hard to tell if you make all the words the same size.
I'm glad that someone has understood what Thank You Blue means, but the fact that so many people don't know, it worries me. While I think any cop, firefighter or paramedic would understand it, I want EVERYONE to know who I support. So I might have to come up with something else. I want a few ideas before I make a final decision and buy the thing, but something I came up with was "Thank God For Heroes" and then those pictures.

So placing the soldiers on a background of a flag won't work? That's too bad, because I think that would look good. As for changing the words, yeah that would work also and make it clear to those who don't understand.
As for the color of the words, is it possible to add an outline to each letter? That would make it stand out better..
Can you tell I took art 101 this quarter???

I just went through some of the responses here, and saw that you've revised the sticker. I did get 'it', but I must admit that some may not understand what your message was about. Since you've put in a name on the layout, it could be assumed that this local. So, I think people would understand your sticker when they see the name.

Did you just understand what I was trying to say, or did you already know about the Thank You Blue program? Just curious.
Well, I support first responders and soldiers from all over, not just locally. But I def. want to pay tribute to someone my sister knew. I tried adding "and all of the fallen" after Officer Murphy, but I thought that took away from him. What do you think?
Thank you Bounce.

Make it clear whether you bought the sticker or designed it. Anyhow sorry to say, it failed to deliver the message. Try once again.

I agree with you I didn't quite get what it means? What it is really for?

You think I should say on the sticker that I designed it? I don't want to take up space on the sticker for something like that, not enough room! Hehe.
But yes, I understand now that not a lot of people know about the Thank You Blue program. http://www.thankyoublue.org/
I will just have to try to come up with something else that is short, sweet and clear that sounds good with those images.
Thanks arlerambabu!

Firemen, soldiers, cops, and paramedics would be my guess. The airforce considers itself blue, the navy does too, and I think the coast guard, but the army is green, and I'm not sure what color the marines consider themselves.

I did not know those military branches considered themselves "blue." But since so many people don't know what Thank You Blue is, I may be changing my phrase. I want to come up with a few ideas so I have stuff to pick from. But one I came up with so far is Thank God For Heroes, and then have the 4 symbolic pictures under it.
Thank you!

How about a police light on a car roof or the whole police car on the right then the words "7-24-365 Service Thank You". You can put the words Thank You under 7-24-365 Service. Use a white background. I'd do it in a darkish, but vivid blue to catch the eye. Maybe royal blue or a bit darker like navy, but not dark enough to be black. Actually navy is probably best. Some of the boys and girls in blue wear black or khaki, but we all know the saying. Our cops finally got new uniforms. The old ones had a sky blue shirt and ugly navy trousers. Not sexy! Now it's a nice deep dark cop blue. Sexy I like cops. It's the uniform.
Those who don't get it aren't American. It's an American cultural thing. Hay guys. "Boys in Blue" means Cops, Police, Law Enforcement.

I am with you on that uniform thing! Very sexy! lol
Sky blue uniforms??? I have never even heard of that for a uniform. But I can't imagine it's very hot...I never liked the tan uniforms either. But the black and dark blue uniforms??? Oh yeah!!! Haha
As to that very cool decoratimg idea, I could never do that on my whole car!!! lol. I have to stick to bumper stickers

I get confused on what it really wants to deliver. Was it to thank the fireman, policeman and medical team?

I was actually afraid a lot of people wouldn't know what "Thank You Blue" meant, but it's actually a program. http://www.thankyoublue.org/ There are bracelets you can get that read "Thank you Blue 24-7-365." It's to show your support for police, paramedics and firefighters. I figure that if anyone from those occupations saw te bumper sticker they would know what it meant, but I also wanted to know if other people would understand it (because that's important to me too).
Do you have any ideas that would help get that point across in a few words, that more people would understand?
And the 4th image is of 2 soldiers saluting, I wanted to add the military into the "Thank You Blue" idea, even though they aren't technically a part of it....
Maybe I should try to think of something else to say that would fit those pictures...hmmm...

Hi Lily.. This is wonderful... How did you come across such an idea?? It must require great deal of imagination and a sense of social duty... Good One... I am puzzled as to what the last one means.. The one in blue! Is it the Thank you thing? I am not sure...

Sorry LilyoftheThorns, I don't understand the message you are trying to portray from your bumper sticker.
If you are buying it, i guess don't buy it.
Here is why I don't understand about the bumper:
1. Who is blue? Why do you need to thank him or her or it?
2. I don't see how the pictures link with the message "Thank you blue"
So good luck with re-design it again!

Right now there are bracelets that you can get that read "Thank You Blue 24-7-365" and they are to show support for police, firefighters and paramedics. http://www.thankyoublue.org/ I just moved it to a bumper sticker.
But if a lot of people aren't going to get that, I may have to come up with something else to say with those 4 pictures (because I like those as symbols for each group). And the 4th photo is to symbolize the military, because I'd like to show my support for them too. Hmmm....I wonder if there's something catchy I could come up with that has the word 'hero' in it...something that would sound good. I better start brainstorming!
Thanks ksherrie!

It's okay! I was a little worried a lot of people wouldn't know what it meant. "Thank you Blue" is actually already an existing organization. Check it out! http://www.thankyoublue.org/
But I do want my bumper sticker to be something that everyone would understand, not JUST the people I'm supporting, so I need to come up with something else to say that would fit with those pics.
Thanks!
