Cats Versus Cousins

Two of my younger cousins are staying in our house for their short vacation. They are really active kids. You would see them running all around the house all day as if they never get tired. I loved to play with them before. We used to play hide and seek or tag or have a mini tea party but now, I grown out of it. Aside from I'm older now and could no longer keep up with them, I find playing with my cats more enjoyable. I bought a laser pointer as their new toy yesterday and I have been watching them go crazy chasing the small red light since this morning. I can't help but laugh at how determined they are in chasing their 'prey'. Anyway, from the moment my cousins arrived, I have not paid much attention to them. I pretty much let them play on their own and focus on my cats. Earlier my cousins come to me and confront me. They were complaining that I spend more time with my cats than them . They were asking if I love my cats more than I love them and even asked me to choose between my cats and them. I asked them to play with my cats so that we will still have time to bond but they declined my offer. My cousins are not fond of pets and one of them has an asthma. I guess I'll just have to put up with them for a few days. Or maybe not? :D Ah whatever. :D
