how to make .ico file of other than 32 x 32 resolution?

I want to make .ico files of 50 * 50.. when I tried to open it with picture manager or other programs they are not showing resize option.. can any one help how to make .ico file with custom resolution?

if you are making .ico file you can use some software like the fallowing just visit the link from http://www.free-icon-editor.com/ and http://www.icon-maker.com/ but i did not test it because in my experience i create some icon using software.

How about icondeveloper from stardock. you can search it. It can make large format Icon at any size. But still in square shape.

You may try using Irfan View for resizing the resolution. It is a all round image editor and viewer.
