There is a current debate about this matter. Some women thu they are capable of giving birth the natural process preferred to have the C-section to avoid the labor pains. GIRLS: -Would you like to have the C-section than experiencing the natural birthing process? GUYS: - Would you recommend your wife/partner to go through this process? What is opinion on this dear mylotters? Here are common reasons why a C-section must be done: http://healthmad.com/health/common-reasons-why-some-women-needs-to-undergo-caesarean-operation-when-giving-birth/ 11/03/2011 5:20PM- PT- Thursday jaiho® ------ (just asking)

I'd rather have the narutal way than the scary "C". But there are cases when "C" is needed, those are considerable, but if being in C section is a choice just to be free from pain of gaiving birth, well it's another story.

Dear sister, My both sons born naturally and I am proud on the same. The pain we only suffer for a short period of time in natural birth but on C-section the side affects will last in our whole life. I agree some girls are scared much about the delivery pain and go for a C-section. If there are complications then we have no other way but to depend on the C-section. Unfortunately the private hospitals are referring a C-section unnecessarily with most cases to make more money. They are doing great business and they simply forget about the service and value of human life. I prefer natural birth which is good for baby and the mother.

If there is problems then you have to take consider that too. I am glad you are fine and doing good. But you know, on my first delivery, when I was in delivery table I thought I won't come here for one more time, that much pain was there (lol) but I was there second time too.

I would prefer to have birth natural than have a c-section. I wouldn't want to have a c-section unless absolutely necessary. A c section has it's side effects as well. I hope that I will never have to have a c section.

I agree. I've only had a child naturally but it seems like having a child naturally would be less painful. And I hear the recovery process for a c section is a longer.

I don't know much about the pain of giving birth to child yet ^^ Many of my friends and colleagues always wish to experience and have a natural birthing process because they are afraid of needles ^^

I am practical and as much as possible I'd like to give birth (in the future) in the normal way because having a C-section is just so expensive. Sure, it's painful, but that's how the nature of childbirth is. And I suppose after all the pain, seeing the child for the first time will make all the hardships worth it. I was born by C-section as well as my two brothers because my mom couldn't have a normal delivery. There was no choice. I think that is how it's supposed to go---try to have a normal delivery and opt for C-section only if necessary.

hello kat, Most cases of C-section tried the labor and natural birthing first. But,due to some reasons, ended with C-section. That's what your mom's case,I am sure she also tried to give birth the natural way

either way of giving birth involves a lot of pain. i think naturally would be less painful in the long run. i had both daughters by c section (the first one, i didnt have a choice as it was an emergency) the second one, i got my tubes tied at the same time.

I don't really know why people would choose to have a C-Section when they're having a baby, because it's major surgery that will take the individual several weeks to recover from even though it might be pain free at the actual time of birth because of the anaesthetic. C Sections can affect a Mother's ability to look after her child in those vital few months, and surely any Mother would want to avoid that if at all possible. Of course there are some emergencies, but I do think that women should be strongly encouraged to give birth as naturally as they possibly can; as that is what our bodies are designed for at the end of the day.

hello GemmaR, Yes,I wonder why some women preferred to have the C-section when they are very much capable of doing the natural process. I really wish and dream of experiencing the natural way of giving birth, but my health never allows me... that is one of my frustration being a woman and a mother. thanks for your comment and have a good day

I think I'd rather do a natural birth, but I can understand how scary it can be if it's natural too. I think Britney Spears chose that option due to her fear... but in the end it's the mother's choice. In regards to nature, some cats wont nurture their kittens if they're not born the natural way... they have not idea they are theirs. So there can be some psychological effects to the relationship of the mother and child for that reason.

hello Lore, Psychologically, there is no effect or maybe in few cases. Same thing with natural birth process, post partum is natural (psychological prob) Some mother's who experience post partum takes time to understand motherhood esp the first timer. Thanks for your response and have a good day

I prefer normal type of delivery if CS is not needed and if it wont put my life at stake. Maybe I am just afraid in surgery. But my professor said types of delivery of the babies could possibly affects there personality. In children with normal type of delivery, they are more dependent with their parents, they are the one who tend to be more close to their loved ones. But with children in CS, they are the independent one, they will prioritize their self first before anyone else. I don't know if those are true but my professor was not talking about the majority.

hello junmae, I don't think there is any relation with closeness and being in-dependent to parents the way babies were delivered. My kids are close to me and I delivered them all thru C-section due to health reasons. I did try to labor and go through pain of labor and pushing...but, I am not capable no matter how I tried. You can check the link for those possible reasons why some women needs to undergo such type of delivery. It's not our choice...but circumstances do. On the other hand, few women just want to do the C-section because they do not want to experience the labor pains. thanks for your response and have a good day

I did not know it is possible to choose for that. I doubt if it is the easy way since it's an operation and never without a risk and it takes time to heal too. I live in a country where it's still normal to give birth at home. Natural. It's even not normal to get anything against the pain. Your health insurance is also not paying it if you wish you give birth in hospital without a good medical reason same is with C-section. I think (perhaps also because I am out of a big medical family of doctors, midwifes and even vets) it's not normal to choose for an operation. It's natural to give birth the way it should be and the whole birth you will experience completely different as when you have C-section. Still it's good there is this possibility since it can save lifes as well.

hello WUK, I hope you won't mind me using that acronym for your username. Yes, preferably natural birth is the best way, somehow due to some health and medical reason, some women needs to undergo the C-section. Same here in our country, some rural areas still do the old traditional way of giving birth at home without any professional assistance, yet they survive and so with the baby. Thanks for your response and have a good day

For me C-section is nice because you would not be able to feel so much pain. But you could have a long straight scar afterwards. I am not pregnant and I also don't have kids yet. But I just prefer this method for those who are too weak to deliver their child. I am just a medical student. I find it better. However, if the mother could make it to normal spontaneous delivery, why not do it.

hello karstine, Oh,so you favored those women who prefer the C-section. Yes, I agree it is easier that way. I have my kids delivered thru C-section, but it's not my choice, it's the circumstances that needs the C-section. Thanks for your comment and have a great day

First of all congratulations for those pregnant! Of specialty practice has been demonstrated that for mom and baby health, the natural birth is definitely preferableby by caesarean sectionis . Of course, there are situations where caesarean section is safer for mother and baby, and a in a very small percentage it may be even saving lives. The doctor opinion counts as are women who gave birth by caesarean section but not by fad, but because that was wanted by doctor. However the final choice is mom's. Happy them.

hello onculache, Small percentage for saving lives? No...C-section is really a good option for saving lives. Anyway, it is of different reason why C-section must be done or needed. You can check the link to find out some reason why C-section is needed and not due to doctor's choice or mother's choice. Yes,there are instances that it is due to doctor's choice or mother's choice depending on the situation. Some doctors advised C-section for money reasons and mother's choices a C-section to avoid the pain. Thanks for your response and have a good day

Hi jaiho! I have not been pregnant nor given birth but if I would in the future, I think I would prefer the painless method of delivery. As I've seen on television and from what I've heard, it's really painful to give birth and you can even die from it. I would want to have it painless, so the doctor will not have a problem with my pushing or whatsoever so they can do their job perfectly.

I have no other option than the C-section rather than risking my health and my baby. thanks for your comment and have a good day

what a lovely primary photo you got there.. hehehe.. well, as for me, it's a matter of "financial issue"! =D if the couple can afford, and the woman agrees, then go for the C-section. but if i am the mother, i'd prefer the natural method. there are a lot of different ways to give birth naturally nowadays. i saw this one method, which they say is the best, in a tv program. i don't what they call it. they laid the mom in a bath tub filled with water. the mom labored in it almost instantly with less pain. it's as if the mom just farted the baby out! it's really amazing.. plus, i think every woman wants to experience screaming so loud inside the DR, cursing their husbands, wishing they never did what caused the baby! hehe.. (just kidding on the last part..)

hello panda, Hahaha...I just changed my avatar..so the lovely photo is gone for the meantime. Anyway, yes, financially,C-section is considered costly. And, water birthing..I am not sure what they call that method of giving birth,is not always applicable to every woman. Every woman wants to experience scream inside DR (hahahaahaha)

I would also prefer normal delivery for two reasons: 1) its not expensive compared to C-section 2) the healing process is fast, you can even get up from bed and walk as soon as you recovered your strength unlike C-Section. Unfortunately, I had the C-section with I had my first baby 1 year and 19 days ago. As much as I wanted to have a normal delivery but my body and the baby did not cooperate so they really opt to deliver the baby thru C-section. Though am okay now, but I can still the imagine the pain and of course the expenses! hehehehehe...

hello my dear, my situation was different and my muscles showed no opening and my baby was moving up causing undue pressure on my other organs so the doctor had no choice but to do a c section.but i felt it to be real safe and after a few days of distress and pain,i was normal.yes the mark will be there on the body for life but its barely visible to any body.if i have to go for another one,i'll try out c section only.

dear khare, There are reasonable reason for having the C-section which is always the better option than risking our health or the baby. I also had same experience...my body is not capable of doing the natural process. Yah, if ever you go with your second baby, better go with the C-section and never risk your health. hi Jai, My mother undergone CS giving birth to all of us,we are three, her pelvic muscle didn't open as expected. If thats not the case she would like to give birth in the natural way because the pain after the CS is much harder to endure than the normal way. She was given lots of anesthesia which until now is becoming her problem, her tummy where the cut is aches every once in a while. As for me,i gave birth to my baby tru natural method.I have asthma but it did not stop me from giving birth that way. When my doctor said im good to go,i did without hesitation. Why?I don't want to see my daughter in incubator for weeks..That is what happen to me and my siblings. And of course i guess i am brave to do such :-D
