hi jose,
if you dont have a credit card, u can use your debit card too. paypal account has to link to a bank account somehow, and you can always apply debit card for your bank account.I applied a debit card for my saving account purposely for my pay pal :)

Thanks for the information.I have already applied for a debit card today itself. It will take few days to reach me. This facility was not there in my bank. But recently my bank introduced the international debit card facility. So I applied for my platinum card.

Hi yallit , it was true in the case of Indian paypal users in the past. But now it is not possible. Paypal asks to submit the credit or debit card details. But I think there is no such problem with alertpay account holders. Unfortunately registrar sites are not included the alertpay processor.

@josechukkiri: web4africa.com is not cheap, but it accepts quite all payment processors to buy a domain, AlertPay included.

Hmm.. What do you mean? I thought Indian users can still use the money they have in their Paypal accounts to purchase products or services within a 7-day time frame. Let's say you receive your earnings from MyLot into your Paypal account, can't you use that to purchase your domain?

You don't need a credit card to buy a domain. Most of domain registrar accept paypal. Why not check godaddy, enom, name, and namecheap because all of them accepts paypal.
However, your paypal needs to be verified first before you can make payment.
Good luck

Hi alwayzzcitra, thanks for your comment. I am from India. For the Indian condition, paypal ask for submitting credit or debit card details for trans action. Now paypal is not keeping the money of Indian account holders with them for long. They are sending the money to the individuals bank account automatically. On November 1st I received $10 + from clixsense and on 2nd November paypal send it to my Indian Bank account. That is the present situation.

Oh, so that's the case.. Is there any Indian domain registrar? Maybe you should use their service instead. There are many domain registrars in my country, however since I have a little balance in my paypal, I think I'm going to use godaddy. I can't wait to have my own website LOL.

One more thing though, maybe you can purchase a virtual credit card to verify your paypal account. I used it with mine and it went smoothly. I just don't like putting my real information online that is why. It's not that expensive either and once you are verified, it is for a lifetime. Hope this helps.

I had my SBI debit card submitted to paypal years back. That time I got the reply from paypal that the debit card I submitted is a partial debit card and that canot be used for validation. Now I came to know that SBI is issuing new international gold or platinum debit card and make use of the. So I have applied for one today. Thanks for participation.

There is nothing wrong with your PayPal or AlertPay account. It is only that you have to verify your PayPal or AlertPay account. Many companies don't accept payments from unverified accounts due to the risk of fraud and money laundering. So, if you verify your account, you will not need any credit or debit card.
I verified my PayPal account without any credit/debit card. I uploaded my bank account statement and my identity card. Next day, it was verified.

If you want to pay funds by Alertpay, then you have some option as well. But these sites are not very popular like Godaddy or namecheap. But they are very useful as they accept Alertpay. You can do a seach to find those.

I've wondered the same thing myself, there are sites that have a paypal button yet you still have to use a card. From what I've heard there isn't a way to do it, but I may be wrong. Though there are places where you can win domains, there is one I'm trying out that does a drawing every month. The site is domain-blaster.com , I don't know much about it but I figure its worth a shot to try.
