The attatched photo shows Buster & I walking the C00n Rapids Dam Mississippi River Trail. Deb, myself, and Buster went for about a 5 mile walk today and the cool fall air felt really good.WOW! I can't use my city's name as it viloates mylots terms etc. So inastead of o's I hav to use zero's LOL! Buster enjoyed time away from the house and all as did Deb & I. I try to take Buster for a walk as ften as possible but due to my bad back I can make it once a week most times. Short walks around the neighborhood I do daily but not these long ones away from the house. So do you walk much for exercise? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I like that trail. It looks like a nice place to take a stroll. It's good country I can say that. I take walks here, but it is nothing like that. The city is the city, but that does not stop me from taking nice walks. Enjoy.

I live in a fairly big city. I am about 14 miles from a major city, Minneapolis. My city is about 61,000 so not small at all really. I love the trails all around the cities near me for walking etc. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I'm living in the third world country and safety usually a main concern in our country. Like for example a week ago a girl get rape. And the worse part is that her auntie accompanied her home and part away just 25 meters from their home. So imagine. just walking alone by 25 meters and she still get rape and killed!. Anyway back to topic, Trail is beautiful. But just be careful. Sometimes we really don't know when something bad happen. Especially if the area is some how isolated.

So, you're more in suburbia. Thats good, not far from the main city and yet live a quieter life then city life. Nice, I like that.

That's against the mylot terms? Well, I learned something new today at least. The photo of you and Buster is sweet. I just got Annabelle a coat today. It's so cute. She's the first girl dog I've ever had, so it was fun to buy her a little pink polka dotted coat. I hope I get a picture of her in it. I haven't put clothes on her up until now, but this is her first winter and I think she'll need it. I like to take her out twice a day to walk around the complex.

That might be a violation carmel, but I wouldn't worry about it. For years I've mentioned mylotters usernames in a good way, once even in the title of a discussion, and nothing has been deleted.

I didn't know that either. Plus isn't it also against the guidelines to mention another member, even if it is something good? Like if I wanted to mention a mylot friend and how much I appreciate him or her, I can't say their username, can I?

You look like you have having a great time and I would take my girls, but they try to walk me at a much faster rate than I can walk, so I only take one at a time and the walks are not as long because of it..

hi Grandpa bob makes me remember growing up in South Dakota and walking along Horse Creek in the fall and all the gorgeous colors on trhe deciduous trees. we seldom get any trees here that turn colors. there were chokecherry buses and buffalo berries shrubs I owuld pick the berries for my mom to make jelly. I dont know the botanical name for the Buffalo berries, they are small and bright crimson and tart as all getout but do well in a jelly with meat. You look healthy and fit and happy with Buster five miles is a right healthy walk. I used to belong to the 10000 step club we walked five miles in a day most of it as I shelved books in t he library.back amd forth, and u p and down lots of good exercise. now I dont get that and I am too heavy becau se of that.

Yeah it was a god long, decent walk. I don't walk this much very often though. But today I needed it for my bad back. I walkd until my back was killing me then came home for the rest of the day. HAHAHA! Now that you mention it, with me being home and taking care of dad I must put 5 miles or more a day in walking around the house and yard. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

How I wish I can migrate in our country. Philippines before is a colony or Part of the United States of America until we become independent. But its seems were much more better being a colony and or better yet upgrade as a states than gain independence. Because of the 5 miles walk. lols.

I think that it is so healthy what you are doing, that photo looks awesome, the leaf on the ground, the trees with those colors, your dog being loyal to you, and you look so healthy,my father is 74 years and walk everyday beause he like to stay healthy, in my case I have been doing exercises since the last week, and yesterda besides the exercises I walked 6 kilmeters, and today 4 kilometers, I feel healthy when I walk or do exercises, and I think everybody should do it.

Its look like a cat to me. lols. I guess eyes are deceiving. Anyway yeah I do agree. Its not only healthy for the dogs but healthy for us also. Me I love walking, actually I do walking and running when I was in elementary until high school. I walk seven miles from my school to my house. But now. I'm obese II with many complication. From healthy active boy to a room boy. Literally. Since for four years I'm staying 90% of the time in my room.

I do not walk much. I have been working out at the YMCA. I was thinking the other morning that hubby and I ought to do that more often. We can walk downtown from our house. When he first moved here that was one of the things we did in the evenings was to walk downtown. Minnesota seems to have lots of neat nature trails and walking routes. I am glad you, Deb and Buster got to go for a walk.

My goal is to walk for half an hour each day. I haven't walked regularly though for a few weeks now. Doing half an hour is hard but I can usually manage 10 minutes. I walk to lose weight but even more importantly for circulation. If I spend time in the garden mowing etc and doing chores inside the house then I don't feel the need to walk. Just getting off my backside is great.
