In Iceland we have one of the best health care systems in the world although we alawys complain about it and want to make it more efficient and better. We don't have to pay anything if we are admitted to a hospital, giving birth or for infant checkups with the doctors. I have a seprate insureance that would cover me and my family in case we get a serious disease such as cancer, Parkinsons, Alzheimers etc that makes us unable to work for the rest of our lifes or for a long period. I also have a life insureance coverage. I hope I will never have need for either insurance but I think it's irrisponsible not to have them. Insurance can be very expensive but it's more expensive not to have it if something happens. You can choose a coverage that suits you. I think everyone should have an insurance that makes them able to keep a similar lifestyle as before if they suddenly can't work.
