My husband has just stopped smoking, now that he doesn't smoke it seems that he cannot swallowed his saliva. He keeps on spitting every now and then. He doesn't want to swallow his saliva, his taste goes bad so he always spit. May I ask from myLot friends what is the remedy on this?

i remember when my father stopped smoking. he always had a candy in his pocket. to offset the bad taste of nicotine in his mouth he ate a lemon flavored candy... it helped him through the rough withdrawal period from nicotine.

Its normal for person who quits smoking, good for your husband that he quits smoking since it is really hard for smokers to quit. You can buy your husband chips or nuts to make his mouth busy and can improve his taste and also forget to spit regularly since his mouth will be busy chewing chips/nuts. And also whenever he drinks he must always use a straw to drink since it will also help him to forget smoking according to some research. Hope this will help your husband to forget smoking and to outcome all those effects of quitting from smoking. =)
