We may have our own beliefs but that doesn't mean that we are different . We are all alike . We are called Homosapien , human beings , man or children of God . Some believe in Hinduism , some in Christianity , some in Zoroastrianism , Islam , Sikhism and so on but we think , eat and sleep in the same way . I feel so depressed when people differentiate and treat each other on the basis of their religions .If a Hindu , Christian or Muslim commits a crime or takes part in terrorism does that mean all believers of that religion are criminals . I have seen people talk and discuss such acts of the criminal and condemn his/her religion . This is shocking . Let's not mix up the two . We may belong to a communal group but let not that interfere with our friendship , mutual trust and respect . Wherever we are , whatever be our belief ,let's stay united and foster the spirit of fraternity .

Hi!
All sane and mature people do not believe in communal divide.
There are some self styled religious leaders and may be some politicians who sow the seeds of hatred among masses.
We should not fall into their trap and treat everyone equal and with respect.
Very good post.

This is absolutely true and justified what you both say but some educated people have such prejudices , and not all are influenced but are self biased . This is sad and undesirable .

I don`t think it`s religion that makes people good or bad, wrong used religion makes people good or bad but an atheist or a satanist is not better than a christian or whatever ...an just because he has no god. There are other ways to manipulate a person and if we eliminate religion out of our lives we will still hate each other simply because there are people who want us to hate the other people.

smilingjack playing the "atheist " role may be a good idea but it doesn`t work with all the people. To be a real atheist it means you know everything about all religions, none of them look interesting enough for you so you end up being your own god, since you consider you are smarter than those people who believe in a supernatural god. It`s very hard to become an atheist and i don`t think you are one yet but you can become one that`s for sure.
To answer your question it`s not true that religion is the root of many evil,it`s true that a lot of evil things have happened in the name of religion especially christian religion but we shouldn`t blame Jesus for that,as i said there are humans that want to control and manipulate us behind everyone of these evil things and religion was just a tool they used, they can also use patriotism, nationalism, xenophobia or any other trick to make you hate other people and they always succeed one way or another.

Why not saying science is the root of many evil since it gave us the weapons to kill ourselves.Or maybe love is the root of evil since a lot of crimes are done in the name of love. The real root of all evil is inside us and it has nothing to do with religion, science, love, patriotism etc.It comes out once someone knows how to manipulate our feelings to bring out that bad part we all have inside us.

Ok i don`t want to argue with you it`s obvious to me it is useless.
A self proclamed atheist is someone who tried to find a god but the existing gods were not what he wanted so he ends up thinking there is no god and he only trusts his own beliefs. Is that less than a god ? You still have your own explanations about how the world was created and how the world should look like. But you created your own god instead of buying some BS gods religions are selling.
An "atheist" who doesn`t know too much about religions is not an atheist he is an ignorant and he should at least stop talking about religion. While it`s nothing wrong in not knowing anything about religion it will be great if he stops talking about religion.
Have a good day !

hi buddy, i totally agree with you and your feelings. It's true that some people will always think of their racism and of course their religion. It should be treated as a sin and should be deleted atleast from our minds

Hi anusha glad to meet you here . You are right even educated people are so orthodox and will relate a criminal and his crime to his religion . This makes me very upset . It is wrong and it is high time that they realize it .

Some terrorist are convinced that killing other people will make the closer to heaven or whatever they believe. It came to my attention that some believers in certain religion are more aggressive and determinate to kill others, whose don't have their opinion. We should not allow religion to be mix with politics and everything will be fine.

Those people are fanatics are present in all religions . Religion never spreads antipathy . You are right , religion should not be mixed with politics to achieve egocentric goals . Thanks koperty for your response .

Hi rollylolly, I totally agree with you and I just wish that everyone thought as you do when it comes to religion. Most Christians misinterpret the Bible, especially the teachings of Christ, and so get his teachings completely wrong. I expect that the same is true for those of other faiths who think that they alone have the whole truth. We are all one and we will learn this when we make our transition. Blessings.

You have exactly interpreted the whole viewpoint . The whole would have been so beautiful and happy had this thought been well understood . I believe in Christ and I know if His teachings were understood and followed in the right manner then we would all know the truth . Thanks so much for your response pose ma'am . Regards

Well,I would strong support your hope, which impresses me with a strong sense of love and kindness to all human beings. And this is a really beautiful hope, for the good of all the human beings. However,I feel little regretted because I don't have my specific religious belief,if I did so,I would have further understanding of your hope.Although the hope doesn't seem to come true in a short time,I would sincerely wish you,and all of us,to united together, and finally we'll make it

Hi wangexplore ! Nice to hear you are secular at heart . I believe in a religion but I am not biased and respect all . I know it will take time to see this noble hope come into existence . I am optimistic and hope one day we all will accept each other as brothers and sisters and never discriminate and think ill of any one on the basis of religion .
Thanks for your response and have a nice day
