Hey everyone!
Everybody know that vegetables is very important in our diet because provide many different vitamins that our body need.
We need to eat vegetables when we are growing up and this routine will extend during our life.
But for children this is not enough reason to make them eat vegetables.
Always is a fight to give them this kind of food.
We try to do fun and with different colors but they always know that we want they eat it.
What do you think about that? Which kind of trick do you use with your children?

yes you are right, it is difficult to make children eat vegetables.
but i have found a good trick that maybe you can try it.
I make some nugget with ingredients is from some of vegetables.
like carrot, mushroom, spinach and other.
many children like nugget.
childrens dont want eat vegetables because they see it, so if it in form of nugget, they will it.
it really success and you know, nugget from vegetables is more delicious from common nugget i think.

Hey deliar.
This is really great idea and I don't have doubts in my mind that their love it.
this is a creative idea and it is true when kids don't see the veggie and this is inside something that they like...for sure they will eat.
My kids like some vegetables like brocolis, carrots, green beans. So sometimes I cook it different ways or for example carrots they like raw carrots with ranch so I give them during the dinner time.
If we do everything look like delicious and fun probably our job with them will be easier :)

When I was a child I hated peas. But now, as an adult, I love them. It is important to encourage children to eat their vegetables. What the parents could do is make a dessert out of them, such as zucchini bread, which also could contain raisins. Or they could make carrot cake. Vegetables could also be add together with fruit to make a smoothie or shake. Generally, children don't know there is vegetables added in them, and they get all the proper nutrition, anyway.

Hey Keola.
You are 100% correct about that and I agree with you.
We need to use tricks that will make them eat.
I did some smoothie and cake using vegetable and the tasty was not so different and they liked it.
This is a good way also to make them eat and grow up strong and healthy.

I was also very blessed with children that ate vegetables willingly. If it happened that there was a particular vegetable they didn't like, I never made them eat it because they enjoyed such a wide variety of fruits and vegetables already. In fact, both of my daughters still prefer veggies more than fruit.
Sometimes kids refuse vegetables just on sight. They know what it is and they decide they don't like it -- even if they never tried it. As others suggested, it helps to make the veggies as "kid friendly" as you can. Cut things up to be eaten with the hands and offer a dip or some hummus. Dip seems to make everything more interesting
Also, it's easy to get vegetables into dishes that kids already like - such as spaghetti. You can finely grate or mince carrots or zucchini into a big pot of spaghetti sauce and it will cook down and hardly be noticeable. You can also make a similar sauce to be used for homemade pizza to increase their veggie intake (rather than store-bought pizza that wouldn't have that). You can add minced veggies to what the kids already like - maybe mashed potatoes or even mac and cheese. You could also experiment with making veggie burgers... there are some recipes that are tasty substitutes for beef burgers... and the more you top them and make them look like the burgers they already enjoy, the more likely you are to succeed

As a kid I was pampered as far as my eating habits were concerned. I could get away with anything at the dining table and was never forced to eat anything that I did not want to. As a result I never learnt to eat vegetables. I am a grandma now and am still as fussy. Ofcourse as a guest when I go somewhere I eat whatever is served but I dont cook most vegetables at home and this has never harmed me in any way. My kids learnt to eat all vegetables from the time they were babies because my inlaws encouraged them to eat everything before they could understand what they were eating. Now both my kids and my grand son eat all vegetables.

Hey Mayka.
The reason that you do not like to eat vegetables maybe is because you didn't have the opportunity to learn and enjoy this kind of food the same time.
For kind this difficult and for moms is a real challenge.
But know you grand son and kid they now how important is vegetables to their lives and sometimes is not too bad.
As a kid I was difficult with it too but I learned to eat and understand how important is to my life.
Thank you for your comment.

I have been a very blessed person in this department. All of my children are like little rabbits. They would rather choose some fruits or vegetables over cany any day. There are a few little ways we make it more fun for them though. Like with celery we put peanut butter and raisons on it (ants on a log). Or cheese whiz. They also upon occasion use dips for their vegetables like ranch dressing. Try to stick with the ones they like best. Good luck with your venture.

Hey Rosa.
This sounds delicious.
We need to use our creative to make them eat and if the way that you are doing it is works that is great!
I've never had carrots juice and I heard that it is very healthy to everyone because of vitamin A.
I am surprise that your son like it. Very good job.
For sure he is very active boy :)
