Do you pray? I love to pray. The few minutes when I feel like I am directly connected to God is the most peaceful moments of my day. I pray at least twice a day but depending on the circumstances I may pray several small prayers throughout the day. I was just wondering how many users truly pray and when you do pray do you simply ask the lord for things or do you remember to say thank you and show him appreciation for the small blessings?

That is awesome. I always ask for guidance and pray for those around me who are in need. Sometimes a good sermon will prompt certain aspects that I really need to pray about. It just really depends on the what is going on around me to be honest.

Very noble but pray for those with cancer does not do much but it is a nice sentiment. YOU pray for the Government? Why??

Because the authorities have the power to change laws, and are the ones on charge to direct rhe country and we have to pray for then in order they take god decisions and allow God direct the country.

Prayed is an awesome privilege, to actually be in contact with the Creator of everything! We're told to pray without ceasing and I think that means to be aware of His presence throughout our days. I have a specific prayer time but I pray many times during the day, sometimes just a few seconds and sometimes more. Sometimes I feel like just praising Him and other times I ask for guidance and so on.

Yes, it bothers me, too, when people ridicule God and prayer, but it's done out of ignorance and it gives me something more to pray about! It's said that there are no atheists on their deathbeds.

I also sometimes pray just a few seconds and other times really meditate and get more in tune. It is an amazing thing. I wish everyone in the world would just give it a try for one week. After one week of being open minded im guaranteeing they would see a change. I hate when people ridicule God and prayer. I particularly dislike when they ridicule and mock until they are in need.

i pray everyday, as i walk going to my work, as i come home walking,... recently i have been praying, or talking to God more often than the way i was. maybe this was because i had something to talk to him to, like i was wishing for him to take my worries and my pain away because its been eating up on me. i am feeling more like giving up on life itself even... but there are times i feel at peace and very comforted. i guess God is working on me, and that i am the only one who is just not open to receiving his answers.
