My mom is sick since yesterday so, that left me no choice but to cook all the menu she prepared for today.. :-) My mom cooks viand everyday and sell those in her mini store. She have a lot of buyer who goes here everyday to buy foods for their breakfast, lunch and dinner time. But because she is still sick, i took control of the kitchen. :-D HA HA! I cooked a lot and i hope they can all be able to chew and eat those. And my mom wish to recover earlier so she can take control of the kitchen again. I wonder why?? :-D

I hope your mother will recover soon! (Haha) But, you know, cooking is something you should indulge into since majority of women are required to know SOME about it. Cooking can be very fun and enjoyable and I believe you know that. Taking over her daily task is such a great way to obtain the trust of your mother (even though she's obviously worried you might screw things) and deep inside you got it girl! The plus points coming up! (She might consider buying you things for christmas!) Goodluck then!

I'm sorry, because your mom sick. It is the obligation of you to help your mother, let alone your mother was ill. When your mother was not sick, you should also help the work of your mother. I am sure, you are a good daughter, and wants to help your mom work with sincerity.

Hi tamirs To be able to give you the best reasons... I would prefer to have one from your kitchen (others have pointed out many reasons but I think I should have one before commenting on those ) Okay, seriously speaking, moms know that they have their responsibilities and their children should be doing other things too... handling cooking for a business is not good at your age - maybe this is what is going on on her mind...

Ok. For removing the doubts maybe a personal experience can help - In 1994-5 my mom had her first heart problems. She was the only lady in the house and did all the cooking. But when she fell ill, I did the cooking and belive me it was tasty (my dad and bro) both loved it and that continued for a couple of days. When she was discharged from the hospital, (she was adviced 10 days of rest) but the next day she was at the kitchen - cooking food. When we asked her she said that Sid has to go to work and prefers never to be late. And now that I am back, why should he do the cooking. From this I believe it is either the fact that they (moms) dont want their kids to be in the kitchen or they believe that it is their forte and no one should be allowed in Okay, I know that I am a son and Indians are quite conservative when it comes to allow males do the cooking but I always cite the examples - the best chefs in the world are males.

Nicely said Sid, I think ill take the second one, that's its actually their forte. :-) And we are not so allowed.. lol And about the best chefs.... You are right again, men are worlds best chef.. Most restaurants and hotels here in our place hires male chefs.

hi tamirs uh maybe mom does not trust your cooking um? I bet you did just fine and it was good of you to take over for your ill mom.so I am hopeful they all liked what you cooked'and were able to eat it nicely. You probably are selling yourself short and the food is fine. relax. mom will soon be well again.

Good work! I am happy also that in spite of the chores burdened on your shoulder you still managed to be here in mylot! Anyone who cooks and dominates the kitchen would like to always be in control of her territory, she will not be at peace until she rules the kitchen again.

Its ur duty to serve them because u have to take charge back ur mom's work since she is sick of cooking. Its the best time for u to learn the secrets of cooking and u have to improve something better than ur mom. But be sure u dont affect ur mom's name bad by not cooking good in ur mastery.

That was so kind of your to took over the kitchen. And it's a good thing that you can also cook. Though, of course you have trepidations if you could cook as good as your mom. At least, the customers still have their viands for the day. Just apologize though that it was you who cooked all of them because your mom is sick. That way, they will understand if there is a difference in the taste.
