Shall we put this on a lighter note? let us all talk about some signs we have seen or noticed recently about us that made us think that we are getting older indeed?
some of those that i have thought are the following:
1. you do not want noise anymore, and you are already uncomfortable in some noise you hear, especially if you are eating, or doing something.
2. hmm you notice that the newbies or new co workers in your company especially the fresh graduates are actually 8 to 10 years younger than you are! heheh
3. you sometimes don't feel you are interested in small talks anymore - its like you always need to do something more important.
4. you see white hairs growing...
5. you notice your skin is not as glowing as before, probably its sagging or is drying up more than usual.
what else do you guys think? please share! :D

I'm getting old when my way younger cousins doesn't like my "fashion statement" anymore. LOL. Or the past boy bands or songs that I usually sing during my childhood are not familiar to them :-| Teehee.

Hi gagagaohlala: Then I think I'm getting older and I'm just 23 because my little cousins don't know anything about the bands I used to listen. That's actually funny because I listen to music from the 80s, the 90s and some of the 00s so there should not be any excuse. However when you are young you feel like you are the center of attention and the oldies doesn't count at all including music .

Hahahah! When you get tired, youd rather sleep than watch TV. You'd rather talk with your aging buddies than go party party.

Hi chiyosan: I think you have mentioned some of the most important signs that tell you that are getting older but for me the most important above all is just feeling tired most of the times and without enough energy to do the things you normally do. I think that's the reason why people who are active usually look younger than what they really are. Attitude can help on this.

I chiyosan, previously whenever i use to celebrate my birthday i used to feel more happy because all friends and relatives will come we enjoy a lot with the family members. But now a days as the age grows up i am getting nervous to celebrate even my birthday because i will loose my one year age. And you know for a woman as soon as she delivers a child she will get lot of changes in the body, not so charming like before skin wise, face everything will change (maximum woman). Till 30 years okay but later will start problems skin problems etc., so naturally we feel bad about getting old.
Have a nice day.

I used to have a beard but had to cut it off because I found a grey hair!!!! AHHHH!!!! But hey! that's life i suppose, but i think generally you will find as you age that you will get more tired, less tolerant of noise, have more lines etc. Best thing btw with lines is botox and filler! keeping your skin hydrated by drinking water is also important but moisturising with cream is actually bad for your skin, washing your skin with a light cleanser is best to maintain a healthy glow but do not expect things to improve, you're just delaying an inevitable process, so forget about it an be happy!

thanks for your response! :D its great yes to know too that we age by default and we can only counter it by staying healthy. i would agree though that we would easily get tired, we'll become boring to the younger ones, we'd hatenoise, especially the radio noise.. argh i get irritated with that so much!

I agree with you. But I would like to add one more sign to show that you are growing old. That is you don't want to throw anything:) Since lately I clean up my house and I have thrown a lot of things that I don't want any more. My mom will be crazy to see it:) So finally I realize that I am not old yet.

Don't forget memory loss. You find yourself less able to remember the grocery list. When you need to take a nap after breakfast. All of these will indicate that you are old.

yes you are right....i have some white hairs already which I started to hide, thanks for hair coloring aids, i don't want to spend time to non-sense conversation. In my late twenties, i found myself amused to listening to classical music instead of the slow rock i got addicted to in my early twenties. I also prefer to go to operas and piano bars than to bars with live bands. My skin is still the same as i never put on make-up in the past. I prefer to eat healthy foods than Mc Donalds or pizzas.

My heart feels young, but, later I ve been experiencing some things beside the ones You mentioned, I feel so tyred in the morning if I go too late to bed, before, I could stay up all night in a beach and at 6:00 am I could go have breakfast take shower and ready to do something else. When I am seatting too long and I get up too fast I feel that my legs dont respond very well, also, I dont see clear anymore from close I have to wear glasses to read and too see small things, ohh my eyes were so good untill I reached forty. Even I am forty they say I look thirty , I like that , but , I am afraid that my white hair reveals my real age. I am so proud of being this far in life I have very different way to see things . I wish You a very happy life my friend.

Hi chiyosan!
I wanna add a lighter tone to this discussion. For me getting older means
1. having more wisdom gained by first hand experiences.
2. having pimple-face free (for most)
3. having your tallest tall (haha, i don't know how to put it)
Physically, getting old sucks. I want to maintain my youth face and skin. But as everything and everyone else fades along with time, I guess there is nothing we can do to stop it. So yeah, let us just drink water to postpone aging :)
