Got electricity supply after a gap of 53 hours, and that too for only 5/6 hours a day. Even at this shameful performance, government-payed officials responsible for this are full comfortable with their performance.
Electricity is the lifeline of modern life but we in India are deprived of this basic need of life while the political leaders go on boasting of tremendous progress India is making.
Worried very much what will happen to this country overtaken by shameless and corrupt persons as rulers of the country. There is no democracy in the country as politicians buy votes of poor people through the money they accumulate through their corrupt practices and exploitation of the poor people.

After 53 hours of black out, you only had electric power for 5-6 hours a day?
Meaning to say,18 hours of black out everyday?
Oh gosh...I can't lived in there

I have heard that 20% of india's population is in UP.That is a matter of concern because our resources are not increasing or they are not spending much money on generating electricity but population in UP is rapidly increasing.I live in Kerala which too has a high population density but thankfully we have plenty of electricity. But in larger states like UP ,no wonder if there is shortage of water and power.

Hello rambansal,
Yes the condition of power supply in U.P is really pathetic and i do wonder how people manage to live continuously for 53 hours without electricity.
My wife is from U.P - bullandshehr and after marriage she has been living with me in Delhi and really she also afraid to go to U.P in summer due to this reason as she know my kids become sick when they stay in their Nanihal in summer and the reason is they have to stay in hot there for several hours without electricity as invertor also become useless there.

Yes, this seems to be an ongoing problem in India. I have 3 friends from India who. Have told me about their electricity going out on a regular basis. This is Soooo unreal to me.
