is sci-fi movie Super 8 just a kids movie?

Been waiting for the blueray version of the movie super 8 till now and finally watched it.
Guess in my opinion, the movie is good the way it starts but some how messes up at the end. People have real talent to do such things, LOL. Agreed there are kids in the movie but ultimately it ponders over the idea of an extra terrestrial being. At the end of the movie, one is left with the statement, wats the movie all about, eh! but anyways its a good watch for any one's weekend, if u like sci fi movies with Spielberg's touch.
But watsoever said and done, the best part in the movie is a train accident, and how sweetly its done, it was just awesome..
Guess, would have this in my collection., hoping tat I havent made a mistake in doing this.

I saw it and think it is a movie suitable for all ages. It is a good movie but not one that I would personally add to my keep collection. However, my husband really enjoyed it. He'd probably consider it a keeper. I also think the best scene is the train accident.
